you need to copy the folder to
my documents/vghd/Data/skins/VirtuaGirl instead of VirtuaGirlHD.
In fact you can delete that folder now.

@CyberVixen: yes i did. i even did it again just for you, but it still only shows one option.

@coldbeat: can you please check if in that folder where you copied the skin to also a folder named regular skin exists?
This my documents path is not the default but can be right of course if you installed it there.
But then the regular skin folder should also exist there.

here i made a screenshot how that should look.
(Ignore the folders i striked out by the X)
Important is that in the skins folder there is a VirtuaGirl folder and within that both skin folders.(regular and pure gold skin)
And within the pure gold skin folder there must be the bmp-files not another folder.

i use xp, and i know the path for that one is ducuments, vghd,data,skins,VirtuaGirl.
but, before i put a skin in there, in that file i only had one file wich was named classic skin.

@Coldbeat: then it's not the right path. In VirtuaGirl the default skin is named regular skin and not classic skin anymore.
Just use windows search and search for regular skin.

i searched for it, cant find it anywhere though. i'm gonna reinstall the program to see if that does anything.

The reinstall shows the folder where it is installed to.
Just check that path given there
For the windows search you need to set the options to also search in hidden and system folders.

Am I gonna be the only one who cannot get a skin?? :_( lol, the fact is I cannot find any folder you mention in my hard disk lmao!!, there's no VGHD stuff in my computer apart from that folder in C:/ Program Files, and nothing 'bout skins.

My Tipp: Use the Windows Search but set the options to also look in hidden folders.
Search for 'VirtuaGirl'

If it is on your C drive, I think this would be the right folder: C:\Program Files\vghd\Data\skins and if you have it on another disk, replace the capital C with a capital letter of the drive you put it on and don't use the Program Files part. For example, mine is on a drive J, so mine is located at this address: J:\vghd\Data\skins

I had all these skins, when I was a member last year, but lost them all to a virus.
Could you provide me with a fresh link?
All the old ones are bringing me back to the VG homepage

Your old skins doesn´t work anymore, cause the interface changed a lot since then.

Ok, I need some additional help please.

I downloaded 2 skins, put them in different folders to try to get VGHD to recognize one of them, and it's not seeing either one.

I just made sure I have the latest version of the software. I'm running Windows Vista Home Basic. I put one skin folder into c:\users\(Me)\Appdata\Roaming\vghd\data\skins\VirtuaGirl and the other into the \VirtualGirlHD folder. I had VGHD shut down while installing, and then started it up, and neither of the new skins are showing up as options for me.

Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

quit VGHD then Restart and look in settings tab under advanced at the top is a arrow that drops down a list check there

Also did you unzip the skins you downloaded, there is a copyskin.bat file double click it then check above mentioned area on software

I put the skin I downloaded into the skin folder and restarted vg put the skin isnt showing up. Do the skins work with the 1.1.0.5?
