Wow. Since half of this thread seems to be ***** female members who post pics of women oter than themselves as avatars (I've been enjoying the other half, btw), I just wanted to say a few words in defence.

I am a woman (there is a hole, and nothing hangs down), and I have used a picture of someone other than myself as an avatar. I thought it would be pretty obvious that it wasn't me. It's a picture of Kristin Kreuk from Maxim magazine, FCS! Even if, by some ***** twist of fate, she was on this website, why in hell would she post an actual picture of herself? That's just asking for spam. My using her picture is an expression of my personal tastes, not an attempt to fool you into thinking that I'm her.

Also, how many of you have posted actual pictures of yourselves? Hmm, let me look...a small minority, maybe. I don't want an actual picture of myself out on the web any more than most other people. Possibly less.

I'm not trying to defend scammers, just those like me.

Hi SociallyInept...Contrary to popular perception I am not either a tentacle headed male warrior, nor a female plant based, Alien. (smile) I was celebrating the discovery, on my part, that I could click on the Avatar pic and enlarge it & thus started this thread. As this is a Fantasy based site, it's fun seeing the fantasies that come out of this.I'm well aware of what you speak of re:we're not posting our own pics. I like celebrating what I mostly see as the real female beauties posted here. I've since been aware of the large amount of "scammers" and now often don't trust the "real looking"ones, hence the "if so". I think the effort here has been to celebrate the beauty and then clarify that certain pics are not members but recognizable models. More identifying, not *****.

Perhaps I am taking things too seriously. By the messages I keep getting, though, it would appear that several people really DO think that that's me (perhaps they also think that plasonic and deekayd are aliens and tiobruno57 is 3 years old, though). After I take the time to carefully write a full reply, including an explanation that it's not a pic of me, it's a pic of a famous actress, or that no, I have absolutely no interest in cybering or sending them nude pics, I strangely get no replies. Leaving me feeling like they think I somehow deceived them.

As for the "if so", I almost always assume that a pic of a real person isn't the person behind the keyboard. Unless they're really ugly with no redeeming assets, over 50, or incredibly dorky looking. Anything else I figure is an expression of personal taste. I wouldn't even have been sure of tiobruno57.

All that being said, Wow! for the one DIDGEDRUM posted, and no way is that really her.
