Which headset is the best for viewing istripper porn videos on the best resolution? I am new to virtual reality and don't know which to buy? HTC VIVE? Valve index? Ocolus Rift? Someone knows?

I want to buy HTC Vive Cosmos
is that a good pick?

The Oculus Quest 2 is excellent with the 2700p vids, though you have to dial down saturation, brightness and contrast. Fortunately the DeoVR player remembers the settings, so it's not really a problem. But I wouldn't recommend the Quest 2, because the software caused my Facebook account to become permanently disabled and so the only thing that worked was iStripper (which is gobsmackingly awesome!). The support service is useless and I have yet to recover the Facebook situation. Got my money back, though!

The HTC Vive Cosmos is a lot more money for similar functionality, but the Amazon reviews aren't favorable to the tracking and there seems to be an issue with Steam games. The price is dropping rather quickly at the moment, so maybe they are losing market share to the cheaper Oculus Quest and Rift S. If you've got a PC with enough oomph, maybe look at the Rift S. Otherwise, I'd be inclined to hold off and see if the HTC price comes down any further.

Let me know how you get on. I've got the price of a Quest 2 ***** a hole in my pocket!

Tell me more.
I just got a Quest 2, ( 256GB) and installed SideQuest and enabled Developer mode.
So what software caused you this issue?

You can PM if you don't want to share on the forum.
Thanks.
----------------------------------------------------------

to Add an answer on the topic.
Both Rift and Quest will work well for iStripper VR.
But depends on what else you want to use it for.

Rift S is wired PC based, so it works with your Graphics Card for PC based VR games.
( Rift support ends this year, I heard )

Quest 2 is Android Wireless based. Android Apps are installed to the Headset and Played Standalone with no Wires.
Quest 2 does have Link Cable ( USB 3.0 ) but needs a Better Performance Graphics card than Rift.

So two different sets of Applications.

I also recently got a Quest 2. I had a first gen Vive that I sold a few years ago because I just wasn't playing it enough, but that $300 price for a completely wireless Quest 2 was just too tempting. As pantalone mentioned, the Quest needs a Facebook account to work and I'm not a huge fan of that. I didn't have an account so I made one specifically for the Quest and I'm certain they're hoarding a whole bunch of my usage data for whatever good it will do them. I haven't looked into it, but I assume they're selling the headset at a loss just to get market share and collect data that they can sell. The Amazon listing has quite a few reviews from people ***** about their Facebook accounts getting deactivated, so that is a concern too.

If you're just looking for VR porn, the Quest 2 is really hard to beat. You can install a VR player on it (I agree that DeoVR is the the best one) and then download your videos on the headset itself. You wouldn't even need a computer for that. But if you do that you should probably get the 256GB one. VR porn videos are much larger than non-VR. They can be 10+ gigs each. The Oculus store has a collection of games that you can run directly from the headset as well, but I haven't bought any of them as I've heard they downgraded the visuals to get them to run on the headset. The game selection is also more limited than Steam.

The real advantage to the Quest 2 is that it is wireless, even if you're using it as a PCVR headset. You can get Virtual Desktop and play your Steam games wirelessly. As Wyldanimal alluded to, you will have to put it in Developer mode and use SideQuest to patch Virtual Desktop to enable the Steam support, which was a bit of a *****, but once I got it set up, I've had no problems with it. I've seen a few reviews of people with stuttering and latency problems when running wirelessly, but that has not been my experience. I've got my gaming PC connected directly to the 5G router and the router is about 10' away in the next room. With that setup I can't really see a difference between wireless and the link cable. You can get a wireless adapter for the Cosmos, but that's another $350 on top of the cost of the headset.

The Cosmos is displaying 1440x1700 per eye and the Quest 2 is 1832x1920. I think the tracking on my original Vive with the base stations was still a bit better than the Quest is without them, but the difference is pretty minimal. The Cosmos also uses tracking cameras like the Quest so I'm not sure if it is any better. The straps on the Quest 2 are terrible and I bought a third party addon that gives a bit more support around the back of the head. The wireless battery life is also pretty bad. I don't think I could get more than 2.5 hours out of a charge. Even with the link cable the battery percent drops while using it.

It's just really hard to beat the Quest 2. It is half the cost of a Cosmos, has better resolution, and is wireless out of the box.

The Sidequest solution dodges the bullet, so good call! Maybe too tecky for most of us. PM on its way with details about the Quest.

As you say, the Rift S support is liable to be pulled. I heard 2023, but that was enough to push me onto the Quest. Of course, the Rift S will still be good for iStripper vids for a long while after that. Not so sure about VR Paradise....not my thing.

Since no one else has mentioned it, PSVR will work in a pinch, there are just some steps you need to take to make it work, especially since the video player you would use used to be free but is now subscription based, so I can't necessarily recommend it as the cheapest solution now that there are cheaper PC headsets available.

So to conclude the best resolution to view videos of istripper is oculus quest 2 with 1,832 by 1,920 (per eye) and a very cheap price, did I understand correctly?

Edit:
Ok, thanks everyone, I would have litteraly ***** 1000$ if not for you so thank you. Quest 2 is what I gonna buy.

Since no one else has mentioned it, PSVR will work in a pinch,

If you Already have a PS4 /PS5 and the PSVR Headset
it does work quite well.

I did the initial Beta testing for the PSVR
https://www.istripper.com/forum/thread/41874/1?post=617495

that littlstar app in Free mode limits VR to 2 minute length, so you do need to subscribe to it.

But the Video Player that comes with PS4 ( it's free ) , has a VR mode.
It starts you out Facing a Blank wall so you have to turn your head and reset the view.
But otherwise, it works.

here are the How to Steps for the PSVR LITTLSTAR - NO "E" 1) Download the Videos to your PC 2) Use a USB drive in the exFAT or FAT32 format 3) Create a Root Folder called littlstar ( yes spelled like...
But if you don't have a PS4 / PS5 and are looking to get a VR headset

the $300 to $400 price of the Quest 2 is hard to Beat...
Even if you are just going to use it for VR porn.

To anyone looking to buy a Quest 2, beware the Facebook link problem. The way round it seems to be to make sure you have an established Facebook account before you buy the headset. Don't do as I did and set one up specially, because the Oculus Link software is liable to lock you out.

The SideQuest solution will work for some users and iStripper vids aren't affected, but you need the Oculus Link software for full functionality.

What if want to use a Quest 2 without a Facebook account at all? Is that possible?

Possible, yes. But worthwhile, less so.

The Facebook account gives you access to Oculus Link software, which runs on your PC. Oculus Link provides access to the Oculus Store, which sells games and vids. It should also provide access to Steam games, which run on the PC and drive the headset through a cable. So without Facebook, you won't get access to this content. These are the primary sources of quality published content, so why buy a Quest 2 if you can't get at that stuff? Two reasons are:

    1. You can use the Quest 2 to run 3D videos without Oculus Link, including iStripper and other porn.

    2. You can also use SideQuest, which gives access to unofficial content using the development kit buried in the operating system of the Quest 2:
    https://arvrtips.com/sideload-onto-the-oculus-quest/

Both these seem unsatisfactory to me, but it's your choice.

Make sure you change your Default Security Settings.
It defaults to Sharing Everything you do on the Quest 2 to Public.
So 1st thing is to change all these setting to Only Me.

Thanks for all that info, you lot. I don't trust Facebook to honor the "Only Me" setting and I really don't want whomever they're selling my data to to know what I'm doing on my viewer--especially my adult viewing habits. So, if I can manually transfer files from my PC to the viewer without Oculus Link, the reduced functionality would be worth the increased privacy.

So, this may be controversial, but I use my phone.

I use an app called MobileVRStation which is free (but has premium features which i bought way back when and i haven't regretted)

I then download all videos to a hard drive (external or otherwise) and have them added to a Plex library server - also free.

I use a Homido Headset which lets me put my phone in just like google cardboard, however it has different lenses which is great as i have glasses and this means i can use a headset without wearing glasses! It also has wheels for adjusting the distance from face and eye distance.

So within the MobileVRStation app I can start it and set the phone in the Homido and just by looking at files and folders for 1.5seconds a person can navigate through.

So you select UPNP folders and it'll find your Plex account on your computer and you can just choose the VR video you want and it'll play.

This is how I navigate all my VR videos not just iStripper ones.

Alot of words but I hope it's helpful to someone :)

I just recently bought quest 2 and it was my first experience with VR. So obviously i had to do first things first and play some adult movies. To me it was like WOW and a little bit of disappointment at the same time, but mostly WOW. I mean VR as an experience was amazing but i didn't know that the videos would be as blurry as they are. Even the 8k videos are slightly blurry. I quess i was expecting them to look almost like real life crystal clear :) So basically VR is not that far yet am i right? Anyways for the cheap price of quest 2 i would recommend it easily, but just remember that the facebook account is needed and many people don't like that.

I just bought one of the istripper vr videos and i was actually impressed by the quality when compared to the production i have seen so far. Only thing it was missing was the lap dance experience =) Unfortunately Sasha did not give me a lap dance. I wonder if any of the cards have anything like that?

none of the VR videos from iStripper are blurry at all on my side.
They are Crystal Clear, especially in my Quest 2.
1st Question
did you peel off the protective coverings on the Quest Lenses?

I 've used 4 different setups to view them
Cell phone and cardboard
a Hand held VR Headset that also uses the cell phone but different app other than cardboard.
Play Station 4 pro with both the 1st and 2nd Generation VR headsets.
and recently
I got a quest 2

There are blogs about Quest 2's that have defective lenses.
seems there was a bad batch of lenses and some Quest 2 headsets have either one bad lens or both of them are bad.

Also, The eye spacing has to be set correctly.
and if you have one Eye stronger than the other, you'll need to wear corrective glasses to see VR without any blurr.

Since you Mention it is very obvious to you,
either your Headset has Bad Lenses, or you didn't adjust them correctly

Do a test.
on the right hand control quick press the Quest menu button
you'll find an option to take a screen shot.
then you will see a red dot that blinks for 5 seconds
it will then take a screen shot of what you are looking at.

With ANY USB C cable you can connect ( link ) to your PC
you will see a popup in the headset, Allow Access to Data, click Allow
( if you miss the popup, it times out, just unplug the usb cable, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in )

on your PC, the Quest then becomes a searchable Disk.
navigate to the
This PC\Quest 2\Internal shared storage\Oculus\Screenshots
Folder
copy the screen shot to the PC

here is an example
this is from a 2040p VR

Ofc normal videos are not blurry. When you take a screenshot of a VR video it's not blurry or if you just watch a standard video it's not blurry. But are you telling me that when you are watching a VR video that it looks like a real life to you? You're saying that they don't look artificial to you at all? Because that is not what i can find out at all by googling from different sites. My friend tried the glasses with perfect vision and he told me the same that the videos does not look crystal clear.

About those videos you posted, he has the blurryness on the sides. What i'm talking about is the videos not looking perfectly natural even when you are looking at the sweet spot.

what I see is Crystal Clear
it looks Like real life as recorded by a video Camera.
I mean you can tell it's a recorded video, that your Watching it on a Screen.
But it's sharp and clear
and you can change the Zoom, and bring her so close you can count the hairs on her body.

if you have any samsung phone from the Note 4 to the galaxy S10 you can just get a GearVR off ebay for 30 to 50 bucks or off amazon for 50 to 80 it will run the iStripper videos flawlessly with the built in oculus video player or the built in samsung video player and also through the samsung built in web browser. it is much much better than using google cardboard and you can also use it for apps that dont need 6 DOF netflix amazon prime and hulu are great on it as is YouTube

Yes the Quest 2, I said that in my post above.
Best sub $500 VR Headset I've used.
1832w×1920h per eye
almost 4X Better than 1080p

everything is Sharp and in Focus, nothing is blurry.
and the iStripper VR videos look Amazing.
Like she is right there in real life.
Crystal Clear, nothing is blurry.

But again, It's not like Real Life.
you know it's a video recording on a screen.
Just like watching on a 4K LCD laptop screen.
it's crystal Clear, but you can tell it's a screen and not looking out a window.

Or Like if you put a 4K LED TV in place of a Window, and displayed a Photo from outside on it.
That Photo looks so real , Sharp Crisp and Clear, yet you know you're looking at a Screen and not looking out a Real window.

I never said that i own multiple istripper vr shows. I only bought one that i mentioned earlier. No need to get so defensive.

If i watch 4k material on my 58" tv the clarity and sharpness is 100x better than the best VR video i have seen so far. Thing is that if the picture quality in VR would be anywhere as good as that you wouldn't know that it's a recording. Maybe i'm just one of the unlucky 5% who can't get the perfect focus with vr glasses. However my friend observed the same when he tried some of the videos and they were all 6k resolution videos.

I don't think Wyldanimal was being defensive. Looked like he was trying to help solve your issue. He is one of the most technically savvy members here nd has helped a lot of us with issues concerning the product and issues tangential to it. I have a friend who tells me she has a lot of issues viewing VR content too so you may be one of them as you mentioned. The Quest 2 is imo the best option for standalone VR viewing . If you don't intend on playing graphics intensive games it is a no brainer. But like you said. On a giant TV in 4K iStripper is hard to beat :p
