Something for the native English speakers

What's the difference between fair hair and blonde hair ?
I've been taught that the light coloured hair is fair hair like for example Angelika Grays has.
Is there a difference or is it just a synonym ?

Hi @batavus - fair-haired normally means light -coloured, usually a light brown to differentiate it from blonde.

What I find interesting is that , in the revised category, we no longer have black hair. I don't know where that has gone. Girls like the up-coming Claudia Bavel are "raven-haired" which is black.

Was it ever there? I know that I once or twice have requested that it be added but it has been quite some time since I looked.

You could be right - it may never have been there. If that is the case, then that is a bit of an omission.

The hair colour is specified in the xml files with the <hair> tag. There are no cards with a <hair>black, all of the black haired girls being tagged as brown.

I vaguely remember from school French lessons more than 55 years ago being told that brunette was used in France for both brown and black hair - but I have no idea if this was a correct assertion - and this just might be the reason for the omission. It seems strange to me, as it did all those years ago which is probably why I can still remember being told it.

You're right, in France we say "brune" for dark brown and black hair. For light brown, we use "châtain".
