Just adding I am not taking a shot at Totem because I think they do provide a great product, love the new ingenuity with the Android offering, and seem to be on top of it from customer support.
I am just responding to the concept of profit is the main thing for a business. As an example Totem investing in getting android up and running is what had me putting more money in to the platform.
EDIT: Oh and this current Pre Order promo I bought to support this type of offering where SECs are through straight purchase offerings (even if its part of buying other cards).
I appreciate your comments. Totem has an unusual burden placed on investment because the quality of their product completely aligns with how they recruit models, pay models, and upgrade technology. They need to have a card every single day and any re-allotment of funds can lead to an unsatisfactory experience. If they can make more money by providing games of chance and SEs vs. the hard work of recruiting and negotiating with top performers or upgrading tech then eventually the product will fail to serve and ultimately fail. And those who trust in Rex have to realize the loot box/gambling phenomena is new, was never considered until within the last 5 years as a viable business option. And companies like EA have literally lost millions on games when they design the product around gambling vs. creating a great experience.
I see a ton of hope though in the pre-order because I always believed that the "collectors" should get SE for free. It felt really slimy that people with all of the cards still had to risk credits to get a not special card. I have no problem with people with partial collections having to play games that give them discounts on cards or risking infinite credits when they don't even have a full collection.
