@Wyldanimal - you seem to be willfully misunderstanding me. So I will try a simple it as a simple example.

On thursday a full collection owner may have a lot of spare credits due to purchasing them several months ago. Since that time his financial situation may have changed significantly such that he can not afford to buy any more credits but, because of his credit balance, can still buy cards quite freely. For such a person even a 20 euro expense may be a problem, admittedly it would probably only be a ***** one but in principle it could be significant. Had he not had a full or nearly full collection he could manage quite happily using just his outstanding credit balance and easly qualify for the bonus card - but if he does have a full or near full collection then he has to choose between spending 20 euro or not attempting to get the bonus card.

i am not in that position, and it is quite likely that none of us are in quite such tight straights, but it is certainly possible and i have seen many messages from triple diamond members claiming that they "can't afford" to waste credits on special offers that may include cards they don't like.

Or like me, could have instead of a credit card a prepaid/reload card used for internet transactions.
If I had not reloaded last thursday I would have never succeeded arriving to 10 stars even though I had more than 600 credits on my account.

Oh joy ... had to leave home for a few hours on some personal business. When I return I notice I missed yet another reload bonus. Now I see a slot machine which I can't use because I have too many credits. And this evening I'm going out so I'll still be stuck with only two stars by tomorrow.

My fault for not being rooted to the chair in front of the computer for the whole day.

@dar2112v - but if you do choose to go for the bonus card then you have a much wider choice as to which offers to use and it is up to you if you only want to use some of them. We have almost no choice at all in this matter, there are only three offers we are allowed to use, and one of them (pre-ordering next weeks cards) can seemingly only be used once.

I doubt or at least hope nobody is late on their mortgage because of IS. I do not understand why some buy cards they do not want at any price but obviously it's fairly common? I think "can't afford" really means I don't want to waste money and clutter my collection with cards I don't want.

@dar2112v I guess your latest post was directed at @TheEmu, but I just wanted to comment on one point: I don't think all of us wanting to have the exclusive card are on it just to complete collections. I am missing hundreds of cards and most likely always will because there are performers here whose cards I am simply not interested in. I wanted this exclusive card because it was Alyssia Kent - there are many other performers for whom I wouldn't have bothered with all these promos.

I have been member here since February 2018, so I got in too late for last year's exclusive card (Niemira's "Tis The Season"), and I am annoyed that I can't purchase that card simply because I didn't know the existence of this site/software back then... @dar2112v - I took it to mean that they are probably just careful with their money. If they resent such ***** "waste" of credits then they would surely also resent spending a few extra real dollars.

I am almost certain that I have seen posts from at least one person who has claimed that their situation has changed so much, e.g. because of being unexpectedly out of work, that they can no longer afford to purchase new credits but can manage for some time on those that they had bought earlier,

@emu - that's accurate but conflicts with the way I collect. I don't want many of the cards offered - at ANY price. So if we both collect in the way we like to collect then we have a similar problem. You telling me to buy cards I don't want would be like me telling you to hold off buying cards until they are out for 45 days so that pretty much any offer that comes up.

Your situation is no more difficult then anyone else's. Yes their are fewer offers available to you but you will take any offer available regardless the offer. Having an offer available that you would not take at any price is no offer at all me. Maybe totem has found the right balance after all.

In any case, even you perceive the offer as more difficult for you; it is very achievable just buy the credits that you were going to buy anyways.

@Dfner - of course there will be all sorts who want the bonus card, its just that I would think that almost 100% of those with full collections will want it because we want full collections whereas maybe only 50% of the other members want it.

Like you I think that it would have been better if the bonus card was not completely exclusive - maybe by becoming open to all after a few months. However, I would be very opposed to Totem changing its status now that it has said that it is exclusive, not because I would mind others having it but because some others might and, more importantly, I think that it is important that we can trust Totem to keep their promises even in such apparently ***** matters.

I warned of this back when it was happening and now we'll have a second card that can no longer be purchased by new members. Getting my 10 stars should be trivial at this point but I will probably work to avoid it because of how I feel about exclusive cards. Last year I made my feeling as clear as I could in hopes that their would not be a repeat but I suspected their would be another. And honestly this one is certainly a much more reasonable offer then the advent calendar as you don't have to buy cards you don't want. But still anyone who joins after Sunday is out of luck. Unlike last year; This will be my only comment on "Exclusive" cards.

Fair enough, I'd be surprised if they brought back the preorder offer only because if totem assumed that all the promotions were going to work smoothly then anyone who bought the preorder the first time would not be able to do anything the second time. However, only time will tell.

Since Totem's customer base is world-wide and few of us plan to stay awake for 72 hours, It would make sense for Totem to repeat the same sales at least three times but 8 hours apart to cover all time zones.

Having an issue with last promo Slot machine. The 4 cards I got say Coming Soon. Anyone else having this issue? My software is up to date On IStripper and my PC. Restarted program and my machine. Same problem continues.

Same I bought the package and all of them say "comeing soon" but they are all avalable cards on the site. If I didn't buy the package I could watch them already. When will these play?

They downloaded they don't play. The play button doesn't even come up. they just download the comeing soon logo doesn't go away. I've deleted and redownloaded.. stays the same. I've resynced.. no change. I don't care about the promo I just want what I payed for.

The "comming soon" flag is shown if there is a discrepancy between the time your PC is using and the time that the Totem server is using. Usually it is the PC time that is wrong and it can be fixed by setting your PC time but I think that thre has been one occassion when the problem was in the cards' time tags. In any case the problem should go away when your PC time advances enough to pass the cards' time tags.

This happens to me sometimes too. The Coming Soon logo will go away eventually but in the meantime, go into the cards' details, click on the "Clips" tab in the top right, and then double-click any clip. The card should play.

The Server is in Paris..
So if you are in the USA, Paris is 5 Hours Ahead when you Purchased the Cards, Paris was already On Tomorrow...
The Cards are Dated as Purchased Tomorrow.
So you See the Coming Soon, Until you Computer Time turns over past Midnight, and it Becomes Tomorrow, the Same day as it was in Paris when the Server Sold you the Cards.

F.Y.I. : Why, 20 for a minimum? But, not 19.

20 cards is the min because after I had got to 19, I could still play slots. But... When I did, (with halloween Slots) I got it to spin, and al-most had a selecton of cards to pick.
and then Suddenly...It gave the usual error of having not enough cards.

The reason it's 20 and not 19 is because the glitch is not reliable

It only happens like 30 - 40% of the time.

If it was 60 - 70%, I would gladly change to 19, until then...it stays 20.

P.S.

I think the error happened because totem team was watching, but... Who knows?
Maybe it was the gremlins playing havoc with the system 😆

How can I tell how many stars I have? They don't seem to be indicated in the Featured tab.

So I went ahead and purchased my third Reload bonus of the day and I now have the bonus Alyssia Kent card. Huzzah!

Same here -- any help/fix would be appreciated!

EDIT: Went to purchase one, then it applied the additional -30% discount.

sync with server button from settings helps show the additional 30% discount banner, sometimes have to do it several times. also, i've noticed need to click on an empty area of screen sometimes for the client to update, not sure if just me or some general bug (works with updating stars/getting prize card if it doesnt happen automatically)

Alas this was a weekend that I was away for a day and a half, but I am catching up!

re the US stars -30%. when I first went to buy they were at the normal (for me) 15 credits. then once I clicked to buy, the price recalculated to 10.5 credits and it asked me to reconfirm that I wanted to buy.
Take a leap of faith I suggest. Certainly worked for me
