Download speed seems to be very fricken slow,is this server always this slow? I have a 20/20 fios connection that lives up to those speeds on speedtest. However from here my speed connected barely makes 11KBs

I usually get 100 KBPS plus from Australia but it is slow at present - weekend..
I should add I am on a 17MB cable that I have clocked a 30MB locally, but by the time you pass thru the 'net somewhere soemthign is slow.

Welcome to the site.
I have cable internet clocked at 5 megabytes. Download speeds vary based upon server usage and time of day. I've never seen it as slow as 11kb! It seems the best time is around 6-10 CDT for me....I've gotten up to 700k from the servers.
