I shange the Avatar of new Picture. But the new Picture ist not seeable!
What is to do?

Here the new Avatar with the Connection. The click of the shange-order not helps.

the click on "update Profile" ist not with funtion!

@bartwir, very nice picture! Try to Quit and restart again.

Change your avatar piccy in your Profile and click Update Profile...( which you did !...)....then refresh the page twice and your new piccy will come up.....Click on My Account and refresh the page twice....your new avater will then be visible on the site !...
Trust me...I do it often enough !...:)

@Jashoda, You're right! But it depends which history settings he's using. In my case Quit (Close) the browser, means that all the Browsing History and Catch will be cleaned automatically, but not Cookies.

CCleaner is a very good piece of software indeed. Highly recommended! ];-)

hm, @Jahoda, you have the similar pic! I first have the same, but later i makes bigger. Is the nice Lisa. My new Avatar not takes: Your Avatar have.

first remove the avatar completely, then update your profile.
Then Add the NEW avatar and again Update your profile.

See !...Like that !...:)

I cleared the browser Cache. Not helps.

i cancel the Profile, no shange. I cancel the Picture, add the Picture new and update the Profile, no shange.

If you've updated your profile - click on Update Profile - then one more thing you can do - Restart your PC. Sometimes this helps to solve some mysterious issues.

The restart not helps. I take the first Picture, no function.

Maybe server's issue. I tried and it didn't work for me either. New avatar shows up in GUI, but not on webpage. After Refreshing it shows the picture "missing image".
Catch is cleaned, also Restart didn't help.
@bartwir, try it tomorrow perhaps again. And stay with the first picture, this one looks really nice ];-)

Dumb question, but what size and what format is the pricture that you are trying to upload?

There are size restricttions and not all formats are supported (but not 100% sure on the second point).

when you look at his profile and click on the avatar. the new picture does display, just not as the avatar.

I had the same issue. I found that if I simply delete the avatar and update, I immediately got back to the state of having no avatar. Then I waited about 24 hours. Then I uploaded the replacement avatar and updated. That worked. *shrug* Somehow the original avatar had to get purged out of some cache or something.

I suspect that simply updating my avatar and then patiently waiting 24 hours for it to take full effect would also work. Not gonna test that though.

I do as you write. Yes, when i click on my avatar, the new picture does display, but not as the avatar...

The cat is also nice ;-)

The size and the format in german:

If you remove your avatar then update profile so you have a blank avatar.

Next clear cache.

Add new avatar.

Log out and then log back in and hey presto you should have a new avatar.

my test change avatar are ok, women with lot arm's ;-) no need to delete before.

is your account who have surely one problem.

i report on 2 pictures.

the one are what we see and the second are the avatar in your profil but for one raison the site not have actived.

i contact the Team tomorrow about this.

for my avatar to the counter.

all see the avatar, but when we want see the picture we get one delfaut card.

test post without avatar.

now i replace the arm's picture

try delete your avatar, Refreshing, post one time in the forum and place the avatar, Refreshing.

is sur there are a problem with avatar routine, i know several avatar are removed, or changed, but we can always see in the friend list of friend, then the avatar are not removed :(

Hello, Alerte! Had the same issue yesterday (post above). Tried several times just for test and it didn't work for me either.
I think this option (edit my profile _ change the avatar) should work without any tricks or a mess, without deleting or refreshing anything.
Is there something wrong on servers perhaps?

@Alerte:....It is true that the avatar change procedure differs from what it used to be, and is more fiddly, but last night I changed my avatar three times by way of demonstration, once with bartwir's cat( which involved using my snipping tool ), again with bartwir's new avatar, and then back to a new avatar of my own....so, although not as technically adept as most, I cannot imagine that bartwir's set-up is SO different from everyone else's that this relatively simple procedure cannot be performed, whatever version of VGHD he is using !...
