I have been advised that the polls in thie genre will now be limited to 1 a week and it will be released on Friday.

The need for ongoing summaries is also being eliminated and so this topic can be closed to further posts.

I hope that now going forward we will have less of a bombardment like this AND that goes for anyone or group of people getting over excited with their pet projects.

I'm new to this and I seem to keep offending just by asking questions of the wrong subject, at the wrong time with the wrong people.
What I would like to say is that, as has been shown many times on the news. There are people out there who think it appropriate and clever insult other people because of the anonymity that they think that the internet provides. Not only is this cowardice in the extreme but worse of all, the object of these attacks are people with feelings and must be respected as such.
Although I realize that almost all the models shown wouldn't give a person like me the time of day, this doesn't give me the license to compare these people in a ***** manner, or go out for my way to offend them, obviously we choose which model we like above another, based on a fantasy, the criteria being what level of sex object we regard them. Who and what they are doesn't come into it.
I feel it odd that we are encouraged to judge and compare these people in a completely uncaring fashion without respecting them as humans with feeling and a life outside porn, it's a job, that isn't all they are.

I think that the only way to do this without offending is to chart it out and then you can see how many members are buying witch model, if Joanne has 10 sales and Jo has 5 then Joanne is the more popular.
constructive, unoffensive observations and criticism can be made in the members comments.

I've noted that on a large number of occasions members are told that they will be barred from the site if they don't comply with the polices and procedures the management, which is, of course, the choice of the organization and in some way commendable.
But Apart from when people are being deliberately aggressive, rude or inappropriate in some way. Do you not think this a bit harsh?
People have a right to an opinion as long as it's not *****, am I wrong?
Anyway if it did happen, and nothing illegal has been committed it's not like being fired from a job, or another life changing issue, if we are removed, is it? No offense intended.
I hope you don't regard this as too aggressive, that isn't my intention.
Thank you for your time

With all respect, and best intended regards

Thank you for your response, I think that you'd agree that often a hunger for attention often needs to be curbed other wise it can get out of had.

Hm throwing a stone through a window is a crime.(unless its your own window you throw the stone through. Then it might be just for fun but the costs for a new window are your costs anyway)
Comparing things and persons is just human nature.
Of course most things are just subjective in these comparisons.
As long as you don't insult the models its not offensive.
It is not offensive to say: I like Suzie Q more than Shabba because she is a better pole dancer(and i am not saying that this is my opinion i just give an example).
Offensive it becomes if you say 'I don't like xxx because she is ugly'.
We can find such statements in comments and that's what I would call offensive.
As far as i can tell in the vs polls most comments were civil.
The amount of these polls however is another matter and ignoring the mods is also.

@Starryk, very well put! I feel these polls are all for fun and even most negative comments are personal opinions, not attacks.

Hum, nope, there are many instances where throwing a stone through a window is not a crime nor you have to pay for it. To rescue someone during a fire, for instance. While doing a movie cause it was on the scrip, cause you're demolishing a building, cause you gonna replace it anyway, and still can be something pretty funny to do in all cases.

Comparisons are OK, if those make any sense. And only if you remember that is for fun, not like a conquering plan to take over the forums.

Zoony – I agree it would be rude to compare your girlfriend to mine, unless they are competing for the same job. Then we would need a way to distinguish them, a way to quantify their traits and rate their talents. Denigrating a person during an evaluation process is unnecessary and uncalled for. That has rarely happened in a VsPoll, and certainly was not done by any of the people I’ve been working with to produce VsPolls. We adore these women. Our polls are to celebrate them and in some cases introduce them to members who for some reason are unfamiliar with them.
When comparing people, it is important to note what, who and why they are being compared. What kind of models would we be seeing here if Totem did not search out the specific talents needed to be a great VG? How are they to know which models will keep the company in business, which girls would drive the business to greater success by inspiring more people to become customers, unless they have a way of judging customers’ reactions to them?
How would a football team know to buy the contract of a specific player if they didn’t compare him or her to the other professionals? That’s what we’re talking about with VirtuaGirls. They are professional models and they expect to be graded on performance, looks, personality and other talents and skills specific to their niche in the industry. They use these evaluations to develop themselves and their careers. It’s how they get hired.

Yes the ratings are helpful, but cannot be implicitly trusted because the sample sizes are unknown and vary widely. The ratings are more specific to a particular show than the model. The ratings pit costume Vs costume, hairdo Vs hairdo, pole performance Vs standing routines. The ratings do not compare model Vs model.
The comments are equally skewed, for most of the same reasons; they compare Sandra’s show A with Sandra’s show B. The VsPolls compare Sandra the model to Nikita the model. And everybody can vote in a VsPoll. The ratings require a purchase first, and completely misses the opinions of those who have not yet bought this model. The VsPolls provide this missing data.
The casting team does a great job! I can’t imagine them objecting to the data provided by the VsPolls.
The real losers in reducing the number of VsPolls are the members. This is their chance to compare girl to girl, to discuss among themselves why they find this model’s features more appealing than her competitor’s. And because it’s fun and interesting to talk about and post pix of hot chicks.

Hi all

I have just read the messages and notices are very share on the VSPoll, however the views of voting members are all different. And that fact that the VSPoll are interesting, have a notice of each such and such ***** allows to have an Exchange, and personally ca allowed me to acquire card. Somewhere the VSPoll have a good side since it may sell the model.

Cartref - You we propose to publish a VSPoll a week, let clarify you on this point, on every poster (5 in total), there is already a VSPoll a week and by Member, you can not prevent members from posting, you are like us, powerless on this point, as long as each remains on a publication by weeks, it remains appropriate, but it is sure that if contact you a member post a survey VSPoll by weeks, that agreement is that you put a stop. We are trying to spread surveys throughout the week, to avoid a too large focus post on one day, and so you facilitate your work.

Hoping to have lightens your suggestion which was already in application.

@moitoucour; Cartref is a Moderator and if the advice comes from Totem team he has all the right to close polls and suspend members. He is not a normal member even if he is no Totem employee he and his Moderator colleagues have been granted special rights by Totem team as they do a necessary unpaid Job no Totem employee wants to do.
So I highly advice that your team of 5 spreads the next polls scheduled over 5 weeks or this will get really ugly for you.

I am a normal member but i have more experience within this community. I like the vs polls if they don't get too many and 5 per week is too many. This is the opinion of moderators, members and apparently the Totem team.
So don't see this as a threat but a friendly warning as i would like to keep one vs poll per week rather than no polls at all which will be the outcome if you continue to challenge moderators and Totem team.

Staryk - I agree with you on any matter, tries a little understanding of our situation, it is 5 to regularly publish a VSPoll, I can tell you that the 6th which will happen in our team will be ***** to wait 1 week to publish and we we will still change all the publication schedule, sum US 5with 5 internal to our group, its rule are to ensure the proper functioning of the VSPoll (off regulation totem I specified you). You vote you are subject to no regulation coming from our part, we had you suggestions to some thing message deny, it is not for you bother that made it, is to facilitate communication between all and thus lighten a little more the work of moderator.

As I said in my previous message could not prevent a member to post. We have taken between two fires.

The first: the members, who can skis for X reason.

The second: it is the moderators that strangles us for X reason,

Somewhere as a member you drives us to publish and VSPoll and the other side is prevented.

I ask you the question of which side must it be? One of the members or the moderator?

If it is to members will be rot by the moderators, and vice versa.

For history to remove the position on which one speaks, it is we who had requested.

I noticed that when the rule went down awhile back, that we could not post Babe pics from other sites(due to legal concerns) that the posting of VG/DB Babe Celebration threads started in earnest (Best legs, ass, tits, etc.)Personally I took part in this with the same enthusiasm that I felt when I was doing all those babes from elsewhere threads we were doing before.
Example of what was able to happen before:
http://www.virtuagirl.com/forumPost.php?foId=9&ftId=3186&pageNb=1
您不允许看到该主题或访问与该主题相关的数据
That was a very fun time & made for a fine & creative community experience!

I think that the polls now are that spirit & desire to play & communicate as a community regarding the Babes, that is seeking a form of expression that fits in the "new", more necessarily restrictive, Forum atmosphere.
In other words, a fun & interesting way to relate together in this Babe centered community that corresponds to the new rules!
A way of checking our own perceptions against "the great OTHER".
But mostly, a way to play together.
Like always, there are people who, for whatever reasons, good or bad, just don't play. For them whatever the playground is, is just a bunch o' silly....you add the words here!
As I wander off into metaphor here, there are also those in the role of "parents" who, having to do their serious duties & sometimes clean up after the players, just see the work of it all & do not get the fun aspect.
So the community, seeking a way to play together, invents games. The mods (regulators...yes even "parents")seek to control it so all is safe within the established rules, and they sigh, sometimes in exasperation, as the players run off giggling with WankyPanky Glee & they are left to "straighten up" the place.
(humming in exasperation that ol' tune -"Kids! What the heck is wrong with these kids today?"
Well perhaps "kids" is too limiting as a description but they are definitely "the players".
(note that the mods, whether by design of their role or just personal preference, do not partake in the new play!)
Not a put down...just a noting of roles.
So....Play nice or get spanked & no piccy's for you young man!!
:)

For the 3rd time in 4 weeks our team is reducing our planned number of VsPolls. This week we will publish only 1. Next week is flexible. I expect 2 or 3 VsPolls per week will be typical. Each week some of us on the VsPoll team will not post our own polls, because as a team we are voluntarily limiting ourselves, as we have been doing since getting organized.
We now have a 5th member who has been posting VsPolls on his own. Once his future plans have been integrated with ours we should be even better able to schedule appropriately.

Yeah, well, seems that some are still missing the point. Some are old enough here to understand it, and some are really old here and there to surprisingly play the devil's advocate. The point is not if the VS polls have any value. The fact is that the gang made them paramount, they exaggerated with the quantity, they pretended to make a funny exercise somewhat an obligation not only for them but for the whole community and if the rest of the community is not interested, well, screw them.

Have you seen the first two pages of the "Everything about Virtuagirls"? They almost became the "Vspoll forum".

Users with some experience here should remember the last time a behavior like this happened and how hard was to heal the forum and the community after the troll wars.

That should not happen again and actions should come swiftly, especially when all the advises and calls to moderation seems to provoke the opposite, even if disguised as commitment in order to go ahead with the agenda. I Dare to say something avil is happening here. Well, at least the title of the thread is somewhat accurate, is an ongoing battle indeed.

Hey, but go ahead, is gonna be interesting to witness the outcome once again. Those that ignore the history are destined to repeat it. ;)

August has been an interesting month so far in the forum. It began in a swirl of controversy, with VsPolls at the heart of the matter. The VsPolls were the hottest thing in July, and the mods were trying to slow the flow.

The whole poll business started sedately enough. In June there were only 2 VsPolls, both by Albee666. 178 members voted in those VsPolls, which were open for about 6 weeks. A new type of VsPoll appeared in late June, with a twist: UserArtwork had been added. These were produced once a week, and after 5 weeks there were 5 VsPolls. 689 votes were cast for the initial 3 UserArtwork VsPolls.

Then the floodgates opened! The 4th UserArtwork VsPoll debuted on Friday Eve as usual. Except this was Friday the 13th, and it lived up to its superstitious billing! 4 other members jumped in and opened 6 new VsPolls in 4 days. Most but not all of the new Polls incorporated UserArt. The forum was swimming in polls! The average number of polls per day was 1.5. Keep this number in mind.

That chaotic situation resulted some of the pollsters getting together to coordinate their activities. The original 4 members of the VsPoll team agreed among themselves on models and publication dates. Stemming from that planning, 11 new VsPolls were released during the remainder of July. 2 were in a brand new category, Everything about DeskBabes.

After the VsPoll team formed, the average number of polls per day for the rest of July was reduced from 1.5 to .64, cut by more than half because of the VsPoll team’s scheduling efforts.

But now there were 23 VsPolls active, and even though the production rate was falling the total numbers kept rising. And other polls, by non-team members, kept cropping up and causing duplications and cancellations of entire ‘ready-to-go’ shows. But the VsPoll team not only worked around the other polls, but still managed to lower the rate at which new polls were appearing.

In the last 9 days only 4 VsPolls have been posted. That is .44 polls per day. We, the VsPoll team, have done what the mods have asked. Instead of thanking us for cooperating, they claim we are not. The numbers, the facts clearly show otherwise.

I will post the complete History of the UserArtwork VsPolls so that the above data can be confirmed.

First Vacation has been granted.
Anyone else want to go On Vacation?

Please...
I'm all for having fun and making the forums interesting.
but after repeated Warnings from the MODS, Moitoucour has been granted his Vacation.

For Now the Current VSpolls will remain open, and so longs as the rest of you can restrain yourselves, I see no reason that New polls wouldn't be welcomed.

No More Warnings! There's room for a few more Vacations if needed.

Lol..The survey is not a VsPoll. Big boobies blond is not a VsPoll. No more than "Best Asses" is a VsPoll.

When I post the History tomorrow, as planned, Aleska Vs Lucky will be out of range. But you correctly included it.
The team has only 1 VsPoll scheduled for the rest of the week, (unless Pikawell posts; I've not heard from him). So, on Friday Eve, the ratio will be 4 polls in 10 days, or 5 in 11 days, counting Aleska Vs Lucky. Either way, the VsPoll team has steadily reduced the number of polls per day, and still you act as if we’re not trying to cooperate.

Why?

If you recall, or read my post above, you'll know it started out as a weekly VsPoll. Just my Friday night poll. 5 VsPolls in 5 weeks. Then boom! 6 VsPolls in 4 days. None of them were my doing. Yet I helped the mods reign in the polls and reduce the frequency by cooperating with the other pollsters.

I agree with you and have agreed all along that there are too many VsPolls. I have actively been reducing the number of VsPolls via cooperation with the other pollsters. Each us has given up planned dates to accommodate the wishes of the mods.

Sadly, I also agree with the ban on Moitoucour (and hope it's brief). My friend was out of control. He was also over-complicating the process, imho, and perhaps things will smooth out a little.

But hey, let's hear what you have to say and then drop this. We've beaten it to death.

@tacia, why would one not think that the survey and big boobies blond is not a vs poll? It clearly says it in the title for them both. Best asses clearly does not have a "vs poll" title attached to it so clearly it is not. I do not understand your comparisons when clearly they are of two different types.
You can skew the numbers any way you want but you surely must see that it is too much. Seems like the vs polls are taking up most of the forum and the bean counters are trying to convince every one that they are few and far between!
I followed the first few polls with a fair amount of enjoyment, but they soon got boring from over exposure ( my personal view).

ENOUGH,

I have come from a long and tiring day and walk into a pile of posts in this an other topics when members want to "debate"about polls.

The message has been delivered clearly reduvce the number of polls being generated or face the pollls being banned.

As has been c;learly explained by CV in her post above, the volume of work that needs to be done to review posts to ensure that rules are being complied with and like my fellow mods, we do have a life outside of this forum, which may supprise some or have interests in contributing to the forum, outside of moderating.

Here I am thinking specifically of CV's artwoork & WA's technical expertise. The more time they "waste"in ensuring compliance, the less time they have for what they really enjoy.

Reduce the volume or it will be reduced for you.

For the record, I fully support the stance of Moitoucour and would have done it myself had it been within my international time zone.

This topic is now closed, do not open its like.
