I've made all the purchases (61 cards) I want to from the Deskbabes and Virtuagirl selection that have rotated through the 'On Stage' demo files. I still have credits to spend and have identified a number from the catalogue I'd like but I obviously would prefer to see them as demos first and be able to buy them for one credit instead of two.

But whether I'm buying cards or waiting to 24 hours to replace the ones I don't want I still get others taking their place that I'd already rejected - in many cases more than once. Yet the ones I do want never seem to come up.

Can Totem explain why ones that have appeared in the rotation seem to be favoured to appear again and again over those that haven't? Surely it'd be better to have the others dl'd to my pc so there can be another peer with them available for p2p sharing? Is there anything that can be done about this?

I've got credits I'm happy to spend but I'm not going to buy cards of girls that I don't rate nor spend them at double the rate I have so far.

And if the message says if I replace 'I won't see any more trailers of them' how the ***** do I keep getting the same old dogs back again? Seriously -- Mia Hilton, Gettin Cute (possibly the least appropriate name EVER), Tarra White (who is just plain fucking one of the scarey undead looking). Really getting hacked off that I chucked out 12 of them off the rotation and got back the same 12 that I told to ***** off the previous day and not a single new card.

The program isn't bad overall but this so needs fixing, along with the ability to lock a single card in to appear in sequence when you feel like watching all of a particular girl's show. And that progressive hotness setting is not working no matter what the software testers reckon. It's all over the shop. One moment partially dressed and dancing, next totally naked and fingers in her pussy an dthen back to fully dressed and talking about do we want to see something?

And I don't want to hear how you sort out the clips to show if you are a Platinum member. I have bought enough credits to get there but I'm damned if I'm going to spend them on ones I don't want just to get there or buy even more credits so I can spend them at two credits per card from the full list. OK, so maybe one or two I really want I will pay 2 credits for now, but not all of the ones I want but just won't come up on preview. Anyone who get's to Gold deserves control over which cards play instead of the haphazard method of making the card active and hope that it plays it in the right order and doesn't fit in a quick demo of some girl you've chucked out half a dozen times already.

I agree that the carousel is nothing more than a piece of crap and in need of a fix, it has never worked right and seems to be a low priority on the list of things needing attention as has been mentioned in other threads,which if you had done a search you would have seen there was no need to start another.
Disrespecting the models in the forums is frowned upon, we all have a right to our opinion and stating that opinion in a respectful manner will serve you much better in the long run

Bad4Good, your ***** right!!! Only one little thing: not just gold members deserve it:) Besides, at least you are getting something... I keep looking at a message at my collection: "Your collection is empty" and a blank screen below just looking at which I could gather that it's empty. And this is on for 3 weeks now. Of course any advice is appreciated as the "customer service" seems to be frozen about this.

Jackalope - I apologise to you and the rest of the community. You are right. I was just very frustrated about how rapidly my opinion of the software had sunk once I realised how dependant on the carousel we are on the getting a single credit price on the cards we want. I know everyone has their own view of what constitutes attractiveness and it was wrong of me to use derogatry language. Not very like me usually I assure you.

I did follow normal forum etiquette and did a search for existing threads on the subject but can't have used the right keywords as I didn't turn up anything. That's the only reason I started this one. Let's hope the developers do find a way to favour cards that haven't been seen before instead of handing us back the same ones, as it is frustrating to keep seeing girls whose looks put you off instead of turn you on.

Sillybill - If you have purchased cards but your collection says it is empty, does it say that through the site as well as the desktop player? Have you tried following any of the suggestions like ***** a "Synchronise with Server" on teh Advanced tab of the Settings within teh player, or by following the final instructions on this page http://www.deskbabes.net/how_to_fix_models_lst.pdf

Update - Just removed cards on the carousel and no surprise that all of the ones that replaced them were ones I had rejected previously and not a single previously unseen card.

Come on Support peeps. You reading these forums? Is there a file of carousel history that you can delete that sorts it out? It does say if you reject a card it won't be seen again but it seems to work in the exact opposite way. A software bug? Someone got their 'IF' test coded wrong?

Or does it favour existing folders of demos on your disk and can we go delete them to make the carousel start over? Do we have to delete the files listed in the deskbabes.net instructions on rebuilding the model list as well? I'd have thought that would get recreated for purchased cards by what is on the server, and for demos by what it finds locally on the disk. That would still give you your purchased cards but hopefully stand a chance of delivering some new demo cards.

If I still haven't had any new cards by the end of the week I'd be very tempted to try it anyway, even at the cost of messing up my install for a while. I'm sure it would be recoverable by a reinstall and rebuild from the record of purchases on teh server.

ty cybervixen. Already apologised for the attitude to models. I still think some of them are distinctly below par but I'll keep my opinions to myself in future.

As to deleting models.lst, I've tried that between my last post and yours, but sadly all it does is give me a different set of 12 from all the demo files downloaded previously. Never any new ones rotate in. Surely this is counterproductive to the P2P sharing which Totem are relying on for the community to aid the distribution of demo files? Unless that is the problem of course. Maybe there are too few peers out there with the files I want on? Maybe Totem have to consider pushing the demos out to a few more users of these cards, otherwise they aren't likely to sell many copies of them.

@Bad4Good, No problem, I can relate to being frustrated by the carousel. This system has not worked properly for me since it's introduction. Of course I realize I am some what technically challenged and that may well be the problem lol!
One thing you will find, there are many users that are very willing to assist other users and share what they have found to correct various difficulties you may encounter.

@cybervixen. Ty for the info on not deleting the demo.lst file. I did try it the once but immediately realised it was giving me back the same cards anyway. So that file is only for convenience in driving the carousel and which cards are in it is determined by some other means; either by data on the server or in the models.lst file. I know the latter can be rebuilt if it goes missing by resyncing with data on the server, but I'm not about to deliberately delete it just to find out if it rebuilds it with the same demo card info as well as purchased cards.

I did decide to spend a few credits on cards that weren't in my wishlist but were in the current carousel and I didn't mind too much having purchased. Obviously when you buy a card from the carousel it replaces it with another one and I had hoped that as I was spending credits instead of rejecting cards it would be more likely, or even guaranteed, to bring up one I hadn't had before. No such luck. There are still more in the list of cards it wants to keep showing me than are slots on teh carousel.

So it looks like I will have to wait for them to drop off one at a time by natural rotation rather than ***** them off or buying cards currently on the carousel. Shame really, these credits are ***** a hole in my pocket and there are cards I want to purchase. If it takes too long for new cards to come up there's a danger I'll get bored waiting and not be an ongoing customer. I'll not be buying credits until this lot run out and if things continue the way they have been it'll be ages before I spend another credit that I already have.
