Any card that is in the Store, can safely be updated.

How can I tell if I already Own the card,
if it is still in the store?

The Store has a Text Search Box.
you can type in the card number and if it shows up in the store,
then it is Safe to Update it.

you can also use the model name, or the outfit name.

If you type in the Model Name, then All of that Models cards will be displayed.

If it is Displayed in the Store, then it is Safe to Update it.

NEVER update a card that is no Longer for Sale in the Store
NEVER change the Resolution of a card that is no longer for Sale in the Store.

Many cards are tagged "Update" in my collection but apparently there's nothing to update in those cards.
Is this a new bug?

As far as I know there is no bug but you can always wait to update these cards. Mine work just fine but I will update later.

@Evaneself HA! I got you beat..I'm up to 49 cards with the update tag. As long as they are all redownloadable I'm not worried just thought I'd throw that out there. I'll check back later to see if more will pop up.

Update Sticker
Every card has a MD5 Hash code.
The Server also has a copy of this Hash Code.

Your Local cards Hash code is compared to the Server side Hash code.
If they Don't Match
then the Update Sticker is Applied to that card.

Any change to a card, even an update to it'sTags
will alter the Hash code.

So the Update Sticker could appear for many different reasons.

I currently have 175 cards with the Update Sticker on them.
Every QA card, eventually gets the Update Sticker.
So I wait till a couple months, then do the updates all at one time.

As far as the update sticker or flag, tag-wise, this is not true. I have seen tag changes without any updates to cards. That means no update to cards and no redownloads. (I very much ***** redownloading anything, so I don't do that whenever I can.)

I got ya'll beat. Istripper had a glitch. I had pre-purchased April's entire lineup. Then out of the blue, it said I had to buy the card I already payed for..
So I contacted customer service..the "fix" was to update iStripper...
But, then it wouldn't load anymore..
So I had to reinstall Istripper!
After that I had 5k+ to update! WTF!?
A total bitch. But, whatever, it just took a few days. ✌💚😎

I had that once - but either a "rebuild collection" or quitting and restarting iStripper made it go away (I acn't remember which, but I certainly did not have to download my whole collection).

Ya, I restarted multiple times. I remember rebuilding my collection of 2k or so years ago and it took forever. The Updates were really quick though, a few seconds a card. But, finding time to do that "low on my list" task took a few days. Cheers!

I have rebuilt my 5000+ collection a few times - sometimes over a very slow network connection (via a 3G mobile phone network). It has taken something like 20 minutes at most, usually much less. That is a significant time but hardly "forever". In any case you can just leave it running overnight.

I totally forgot about how it would be faster now-a-days. That one time was like 6 years ago. I didn't have high speed internet at the time. Also, I was impatient back then and the mins seemed like hours!😂

When I first started with this app, I only had about 2-3 KB a second. It took many hours to download one card.
Now, I can download at about 1.6-1.7 MB a second, and it takes less than a half hour to download one card at 720p.

When I was in Germany I chose not to have a cable connection at home (though I could well afford it) and thus only had a slow access to the internet via a USB dongle connecting to the 3G phone network. I therefore downloaded cards only when I had access to a fast, free, public connection. There were several of these available in the city in which I was based - three within five minutes walk of my appartment (at the univerity, the zoo and a bus stop).

For the last couple of years that I was there I tended to use the one provided by the regional trains. It wasn't the fastest of the free networks but I was making day trips several times a week (I was making the best of what I knew would be my last years in the country) using my senior citizen's annual season ticket which was very cheap - 1 euro a day for a year's travel by bus, train, tram and ferry anywhere in the state of Hesse (about the same size as Wales but with many more cities and towns).
