Is there any way to unpin the iStripper folder and application from the Start menu on Windows? Unlike pretty much every other app, when I right click on it I get no option to remove it from the menu. It's annoying because it means I have to uninstall it constantly to stop other people potentially seeing it when I'm using the computer. Any advice gratefully received.

@photomonkey Hi, the Start menu / right click/ more/ don't show in this list.
For the taskbar, just unpin it.

When you right click, choose "More..." on top of Uninstall and then you can choose "Open file location..." or something like that. In explorer window that pops go on folder level up and delete the iStripper folder containing the two icons. It will do the trick but you have to repeat after each upgrade.

Yeah, I'm windows 10 and I have the exact same issue. It just doesn't give me the option to unpin or not show on list

@Manue - I can only remember seeing the "don't show in this list" option for items in the newly installed and recently used parts of the start menu, not for the main entries. I certainly do not see it for the iStripper entry.

I have been unable to get a screenshot because the menu closes when I click on the icon to take a screenshot. However the full set of menus under the iStripper entry in the start menu is

iStripper
...
... iStripper
... ... Pin to start
... ... More
... ... ... Unpin from taskbar
... ... ... Run as different user
... ... ... Run as administrator
... ... ... Open file location
... ... Uninstall
...
... Uninstall iStripper
... ... Pin to start
... ... More
... ... ... Run as different user
... ... ... Run as administrator
... ... ... Open file location
... ... Uninstall

I have iStripper pinned to my taskbar, hence the Unpin from taskbar option

This set of menus is just what I get for almost all other non-Microsoft items in the main part of the start menu (I am using Windows 10, updated last month)

Actually, if we are actually talking about the Start Menu, I do not see ANY programs that allow you directly remove it from the Start Menu. Unless it is an option I haven't turned somewhere? The only way I know is outlined by Gorfa91 above.
I don't delete my shortcut though but rename it. Mine is called 'iDesktop' and I have changed the icon too. If someone else clicks on it it brings up the password screen (set in settings). If you move the shortcut out of the iStripper folder into the main Programs folder you can then delete any further iStripper install folders that get created on updates and the altered one will remain in place. Deleting the folder deletes the main shortcut too.

If you want to look manually the start menu is actually in two places -
C:/Program Data/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu
C:/Users/(*your named folder*)/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu

Make sure you have hidden folders turned to 'show'. Also in these folders are the Start-up folders if you want to stop it loading at startup, delete the shortcut from the start-up folder.

@haruchai - I think that @Manue must have been ***** an entry in the list of newly installed programs, which appears at the top of the start menu, or an entry in the fequently used programs, which optionally appears just below that, with the entries in the main part of the start menu. In both of those cases there is a "remove from this list" option (certainly there is for the newly installed program list, I am not so sure about the frequently used part as I have that option inhibited).

@TheEmu, you are probably right, those are first things I turn off when I install Windows so cannot confirm ;)

So renaming the Folder/Shortcut would solve the issue as the amended program name would appear in those lists.

Hehe, @Manue ask other to post a screenshot. Everyone puzzles over the context menu and does not have this entry on the screen. I think we should get a screenshot of @Manue to see what we're missing.😉

@haruchai - they are the second thing (in the start menu) that I turn off. I get rid of the Tiles first and reduce it down to a simple start menu.

@TheEmu That's on the list too :)

Hopefully this will all be redundant soon, I know in one of the threads about the new auto update behaviour someone had an issue with the software creating Start Menu items without their intervention. Rex said he was taking it up with the developer so I'm guessing some solution from Totem might be forthcoming.

I've lost access to my collection due to some update apparently. Please fix this as I'm not comfortable deleting anything from my computer, nor should I have to, to make the program work.

@Happy1
Not the good topic for your question.
By the way, have you tried to synchronize with servers, or log in again with your ID and password ?
You can also quit and restart the software, or shutdown your computer and internet router then reboot them.
