Thinking of buying prepaid visa/mastercards but I know you can only use these in state (US). I believe this site is out of state. Don't want to use my debit card. Any ideas?

An off the shelf prepaid credit card will not work for most online international purchases of any kind.

I have a pre-paid Mastercard from "Univision" that I signed up for online and it is linked to me by name, address and SSN. This sort of card works just like a real credit card as long as it has funds on it.

To recharge it I just go to the local WalMart and add money to it when I want to buy things online or elsewhere that I don't want to risk my bank account debit card on.

There are other entities that offer the linked pre-paid Mastercard but I haven't looked for any recently. It shouldn't be hard to find with a little web surfing.

What's happened to PayPal? That option looks like it's been removed and its also how I top up my account.

Is its disappearance a temporary thing?
