As some of you know, I have an Access database that lets me examine my collection and generate playlist. In response to a programming challenge posted here a month or so ago by @Wyldanimal, I enhanced it to create filtered and organized playlists for every model and every card in my collection all with just a few mouse clicks.

So, now I have 1929 playlists, one for each card. They are organized into 3 folders. Once contains both 3K and 1080p cards because I play them at the same scale. One contains just 780p cards because I only play them in small mode 3-5 at a time. The last folder contains VG classic cards that I seldom play. I also have 67 playlists each containing selected clips of one model. Finally I have a playlist of just swings, another of window washing and one more of "please pick me" transition clips.

This is overwhelming. I know what to do with the swings, glass and pick-me lists. I use them as a special treat. But what about the others? I've discovered that I don't want to see all the cards of one model for hours on end, so the model clips aren't much use. The card-clip playlists are great in principal because they show just what I want to see. Maybe just Pole or just Table. However, I don't want to spend time picking lists card-by-card, that's too much work. If Totem made it easier to filter out clips I don't want to see, I wouldn't need all these card specific playlists.

Perhaps I need the ability to assemble a 4-6 hour block of randomly selected cards into one big playlist. Then I could pick one at the start of the day and let it run.

What would you do if you could create a playlist for each card tailored to your current viewing desires? Would you load them one at a time into iStripper (I just did that for half a dozen cards) or would you want something else?

OMG that is alot of playlists...LOL. I'm not sure how to answer here. As I really just use starryks manager to build them from a normal full card playlist then load it back in the insert playlist tab. Normally it's progessive hotness lists (swing included) with a few specific model cards or just a mix of favorite girls in certain clip types and nudity level. I really don't know what else to say for this.

I'm like you in terms of likeing the pick me and boardem clips which starryks include. The other transitions really don't matter for me.

@Dorsai6 I have two main ways to use playlists:

1) Card-level playlists, where I like to simply watch the card from beginning to end in clip-order

2) Randomized large playlists: as you know, I use your excellent application and it is of great help especially for this. I like to choose my favorite models, then filter them by resolution and a few other factors (Pole / Table / Pick Me...), and have everything run in random order. This way I see same type and quality clips consecutively, but get nice variation of performers.

3) For few specific performers, from whom I have several cards, I have made randomized playlists as 2) above

I was just yesterday thinking about how great it would be to somehow automatically create smaller chunks of those large playlists. I will send you email, as it is a lot of text :)

You'll love this. Today I finished coding two new capabilities that I think will satisfy me.

One will take all the clip-level playlists at random from a designated folder and assemble them into a multitude of larger group playlists of a specified duration. Here is how I used it. I have 546 3K and 1080 cards of 81 favorite models. First I generated a clip-level playlist for each card with some types of clips that I don't want to view while I'm working filtered out. The I ran new grouping function and ended up with 25 8 hour long playlists. Each contains a random selection of cards with the clips for each card all together in a nice order. Every card appears in just one group.

The other will take a large randomly organized playlist add split it into a specified number of smaller playlists. Since I am now calculating the duration of each playlist in hours I can decide how to split one to suit my needs. For example I split a 5.5 hour playlist into 6 part to get a group of playlists that are each a bit under an hour. I use this for special clips that I get tired of if I see too many at once but I like them as a special treat. I now have 23 30-min random swing groups along with 6 1-hour glass groups and 5 1-hour "pick me" transition groups.

I think I've reached the point where I can just lean back and watch the show. In fact I have other work to do, but I can now exercise more control over what I see on iStripper with less effort.

I am, however, still very interested in new ideas. I would have added the randomizer without your suggestion and it works great for my special action clips.

That sounds perfect! Especially the second feature,, because I don't have ALL that many playlists yet and because in my use I mostly end up with a few huge, randomized, ones - to be able to split them into chunks of desired length is exactly what I have been looking for. This way I can go through them little by little and when I'm done, I know that there are no clips that wasn't included in the running at some point, and none of them ran twice.

Roughly something like that I suggested in my email an hour or so ago, but I see you had it all done and finished already :)

If you deleted them just think of the space you'd save! ;)
