2. I don't like the new card design at all.

what is better on the new card-design?
in my opinion, the former design is very good.

Nothing was said by the team about it being better.
All that was said was "new 2018 design". My impression is that it is to differentiate 2018's cards from any previous ones. Maybe they just thought it was a good time for a change.
