Will you please stop promoting the registry hack as a first option.

The Dangers to the un initiated are extreme and I can just see when itr goes wrong for a user that you shut upand let Totem deal with the mess.

There is an explaination in the FAQ's that explains (admitedly the long way) on how to change the directory, but unless you personallly want to put in the individual hours to sort out the mess when someone stuff their registery with a hack, then don't give the instructions,,,,,,,

Open question for the community, do you find the instructions in the FAQ's on this topic to be sufficient? I will be upfront, they are my words.

However, if they are not deemed good enough, I will do more elaborate ones if Totem can use a hyperlink to a document & not just paste the text.

Let me say something in Alerte defence,

he is trying to help newcommers and on a similar but related issue he has asked be to provide more detailed & comprehensive instruction on the headed topic, ie how to move/change the data directories.

I have not yet done this for Alerete.

Nothwithstanding Alerte is trying to push ahead with posting screen shoyts & details on how to do a separate thing in VGHD.

Alerte's ability with english (using a translator program) is probably as good as my ability to translate into french or german, which is poor on both accounts.

Constructive feedback, rather than outright condemnation might be better.
