Hello, Totem fellows. As the title of the thread says, just 5 simple questions to you. Hope you find the time to reply to those.

1) We already saw DeskBabes and that was the prerequisite to discuss the VIP status and it's perks and level privileges. When it's gonna be the moment to talk about that?

2) At the present time, The casting forum is the only VIP privilege left. It has been more than 15 days since it was updated with any kind of thread or cast or even updated with shooting dates or something. Why is that forum so inactive and why don't you add content on a regular basis?

3) After so many time, there is not a single new black or asian model. Are you ever going to cast or release a new non caucasian model?

4) The spirit about the explicit content changed already. Do you have any plans to restore the content of all the faded and mutilated releases that were delivered the past year and part of the current one? Seems like something not too difficult to do, cause there are only a fistful of pretended explicit clips on each of those cards.

5) You asked for new comments about VG, on February 12, 2010, to replace the old ones in the new website. The old ones are still on. It's not relevant to me, but if you asked the users to do something, i think it's only polite to value their time and enthusiasm. Do you plan to use the new comments at any moment at all?

I would also very much like to know the answers to Oquijan's questions. All completely valid queries which Totem need to give us answers to.

@colaborateur - buy 37 more cards and you will also be a VIP - so think about stones and glass houses and all that. More VIP perks will benefit you in the future as well.

1) Yes it's a good time to talk about VIP privileges.
2) All casted girls go through the forum, if you see no new post it's because we're having a hard time to find new girls matching our criterias. We're looking to film at least 4 new girls for VG and 4 for DB before the summer.
3) Our studio is in Paris, black and asian models are more difficult to find here, nothing more than that
4) There is no plans to re-release anything yet. We're working on DB and VirtuaGirl Classic atm
5) It's still on the techs todo list they just had more important issues to deal with before

On question 1 - you said in another thread some time ago that you had something new planned for VIP members that would be revealed around the time that Deskbabes was released (or words to that effect) - since you now think its a good time to discuss it, some news on this would be most welcome.

On question 3 - if you look at the "New Girls" thread in the casting forum, there are a lot of posts (many by titilate) suggesting exceptionally beautiful black girls based in Europe (a lot in France itself). Do you have a good reason for not considering any of these girls?

I'm not sure if restoring explicit clips (4) is appropriate as a VIP privilege (1). The work they'd need to put into it would be better served going out to all customers (and I wholeheartedly support putting this into the pipeline!). VIP privileges should be an involvement in site planning and input, along with occasional discounts for special things. What precisely that should be, however, is hard to gauge since so much is in flux.

As for the ethnic models (3)we've heard these answers many many times. When you sign up for a site where 90% of the models are Caucasian, that's the expectation. Frankly, I'm OK with it. But VIP privileges might be more involvement in the selection process (maybe even a new site section rather than a part of the forum it's easy to lose track of). I, for one, will likely keep voting for my preference (slim and fit girls of all ethnicities including my own background, Caucasian), and others should be free to campaign for what they want. Lets not forget as well, that the site is not a democracy. It's a curated experience. If I wanted to start my own porn site, I'd focus on young, skinny brunettes with a little patch of pubes, cause that's what I like. Imagine if you had the opportunity to shoot gorgeous women in the business that you built and people told you every day that they were the wrong look. I'd be bummed.

Anyway, here's to hoping that we find an appropriate outlet for VIP privileges. I'd love to be involved in a retagging, reflagging, recatagorization of all the mistagged clips(shaved tag, anyone?).

Nobody is telling Totem that the girls they cast have the "wrong look". In fact most girls presented on the casting forum get a good response. We're just looking for a bit more diversity, so that the tastes of a wider range of people can be satisfied.

If I had my way, the entire site would be filled with caucasian busty brunettes, but I can certainly see the charms of other types of girl as well. I think it would be good business, apart from anything else, to cater for as wide a range of tastes as possible. In addition to more black and Asian girls, I would also like to see a geater number of red-heads and perhaps a few goths. Variety is the spice of life ;-)

Somehow Oquijan is able to perform the impossible,, lol,,, he is able to actually get answers out of Totem:)

Maybe for VIP privilege Totem could give us a discount day one time a month or something like that, I don't know if it's too picky, but I'd like a lot a discount on DB, the price is fair, but I can't afford it right now.

Well, let me add some comment to the answers.

1) The VIP privileges.

Good! Many users posted their suggestions before. Hope they show again to post them. Mine are this:

• It seems that there are two major petitions: a better special offer and a preferencial treatment for the level.

Non fully stocked VIPs will benefit a lot with an special offer that gives them better chances to get what they want. I propose two ways for that: 1) Put the new releases as specials available for VIPs for a week, until the new stuff hit the market. 2) Create a customizable VIP booster pack. Ten bucks, ten chicks, but the ones you really want. Even, if you feel generous, you can find some kind of special package for VIPs at the DeskBabes site.

Of course, special offers mean very little for the fully stocked members, so an special treatment for the level most be placed along with the special offer. The way i see it, this is more a commitment from you to keep the site entertaining and exciting rather than placing a fixed thing. And i don't mean with that giving away free stuff. That you're running a business is understood. You can do a lot of little things each month, like the VIP day you had at Deskbabes, including contests, trivias, exclusive pics and content, information, one day promotions, releasing cards in advance (you release those on a different schedule for the rest of the users), to name a few.

At the end, we are all here for the babes, so if you find ways to convince the girls to be more participative somehow with the users, i guess that will please a lot of people. The best way to achieve this without making feel the other levels excluded is to implement a VIP forum or revamp the casting forum to serve a wider purpose. People will crave to achive the VIP status if you make it really desirable. That means more money for you and more fun for us. But to make this happen you need to be willing and constant, without the need of reminders from the users cause you did one thing once and came with nothing for weeks or even months. Is up to you.

2) The casting forum.

Understood. But, as with the newspapers, if there are no news, you create the news. Again, if you have no chicks in line to be casted, then you release pics or articles, open debates or polls. Dunno, many things, but you don't just let the forum to dry off, cause it is a Vip perk and should be updated constantly. As said before, maybe a VIP forum or revamping the casting forum could help to do this.

3) Ethnic diversity.

Understood again, but as Spacephantom commented above, there are a lot of proposals with black chicks based near you in the New girls thread. For instance, this chick Luciana, the one in this picture. 27 years old, hardcore (so she can do both VG and DBs), experienced, hot body, really pretty and based in the Czech Republic and France. I think she reunites all the possible criterias that we can find in all the caucasian models featured in here. So, why not?

4) Restoring the mutilated cards.

Well, imho, this is the most annoying thing you've ever done to the users, fading and cutting the shows. I seriously considered dropping your product for good, and many users did, because of that and i still feel angry whenever i see those cards edited by a nun, or so it seems. It is not like you need to reprocess the whole shows, the ***** is located in a few clips, the explicit ones, in each card. If you fix that material, i'll gladly buy all the shows that i skipped before, knowing about the faded content. You don't even need to do this as a massive operation. Fix one or two each week, let us know, and i bet you will sell a bunch of cards investing very little. The ratings and commentaries will reflect positively the changes, thus making you earn more revenue and finally closing that shameful page in the, otherwise bright, story of this product. So please, don't discard the possibility and rather give it a serious thought.

After all, you only need to fix like a 100 cards, lol.

5) Cool.

I agree mostly with Oquijan.
What i would like for the VIPs would be a foolproof method for VIPs to ask Question and make suggestions to the Team that will definitely received and hopefully answered. There is too much randomness involved there. And for the best customers even you Rex should always be reachable.
I trust it that we VIPs are clever enough not to use that possibility for problems with the software we might have but for Questions and Suggestions about website design, the castings, the content of the shows and ideas for the future.
An example is the questions if the Team got the message and revoked the decision to only have sound in the x-rated Deskbabes clips. Rex said all shows will have sound if nothing drastic happens but that not the same as all clips will have sound. The first statement would already be fulfilled with one clip with sound in a show.
Also my question if it could be considered to have sound in VG shows too. Not so much for the moaning but for the talking and teasing we have in some Deskbabes shows(Sandra Sanchez, Ariel&Bianca, Mili Jay, Walleria) where the girls introduce themselves and some even talk teasingly like Sandra Sanchez with the question if we like her boobs or are laughing like Ariel and Bianca
This so much enhances the show and would work great with VG too.

Can we tone down the "mutilate"commebnts on pasts cards please. That's a personal feeling and the use of a strong word.

Cards in the past were edited to make them comply with Totem's published guidelines and those edits may have been straight deletions or fade outs. Buts this was in accordence with their then stated guidelines and just because those guidelines had been slipped, does not make the subsequent editing wrong, only made it more noticeable.

I also stated at the time, that Totem had long been using fade outs and just because you saw one, did not mean that something was being edited out, its just another way to end an animation.

Finally, Totem did subsequently agree to modify their guidelines and they actually did that and the subsequent cards bare that out. They never indicated that they would or could go back and reprocess the previous cards. If they did not save the previous version of an animation before they made a change, then they would have to go back to the original source and start the reprocess all over again.

Given the work I see by the QA Team, I doubt that they would welcome the work to re evaluation all those cards all over again.

As we were saying, this has been in discussion since January 14, 2010. Promised by the company since February 01, 2010. Lately, not a word since the last episode 22 days ago. That just for the VIP status. Ethnic diversity petitions have been around for much much longer than that, of course.

Guess is time to make another batch of simple questions to Totem, in the hopes to get another batch of simple answers.

I'm interested to hear when the perks will be coming back and what form they will be in. There have been plenty of Mondays in 60 days to figure out what those perks will be. I'm sure there will be another 60 days or a new version relase before we see them, but it sure feels like we're being put off time and time again.

Oquijan, looks like Totem crew is very busy with work... they are working hard probably, but not for us VIPs. IMAO we are not so important as the rest of the users, so we are on the back end of the queue...

Lol. Well, or maybe not working at all? You would think that part of the work would be to pay attention to the forums, that are part of the product. Now 22 days without an update to the casting forum. Being that the only "perk" that the VIPs currently have, it's a pretty relaxed attitude, almost with a feel of disdain.
