Ok, I thought I had it all planned out when it came to rating Virtuagirls. Most of the girls I'd rate landed an 8 or 9. Some 10's. Seldom did I rate a girl 7 or lower. But now Deskbabes is here and with all the girls do now and how much more attractive they are, I'm hard pressed to give anyone less than a 10. Just curious to know how other members plan to change up their rating system for the new program. So far I see myself dishing out mostly 10's. This doesn't sound right so I'm really gonna have to re-evaluate my system.

To my mind the rate would start 20 point and this better aid scoring.

I think it is an entirely new basket. If striptease alone again becomes an overwhelming part of the criteria, say > 50%, then your rating system might be dooming DB to become something resembling a clone of VGHD. A good way is to look at what competes with VGHD now, and if it involves an audience having switched off their VGHD to go elsewhere, ask what it would take for them to switch back on to DB.

Stepping up the explicit XXX factor is only one aspect. It is not enough to just mimmik other porn. DB needs to draw off psychological points of tease missing in regular porn. To me there is only one recipe. The performer is promising you will experience and share her orgasms intimately. This is her story of how she will get there. Genuine masturbation and later Duos' blending mutually inspired adventure. This is how Totem could blast other porn out of the water imho. Make the power of the storytelling by the artist of what turns her on, your criteria to judge performance. Give a large part of your rating concern to this, and Totem will deliver.

The DeskBabes Duo cards are quite different to VGHD style cards, so like a lot of people I've been struggling with a means of evaluating these cards in order to give them a meaningful rating.

As a help to me, I devised the below list of questions for rating 10 - 1. which I total and then divide by 12 to give an overall rating. You're welcome to use or adapt something like this for your own rating style 10 - 1. It seems to work well anyway.

+++++ are the performers responsive to each others actions ?

+++++ do they each assist to emphasise the other's features ?

+++++ Does the perfomance provide a build up of sexual tension ?

+++++ Is breathing style appropriate to actions at times ?

+++++ Do both performers look back to the camera enough ?

+++++ Do they synchronise their sexual tension highs & lows ?

+++++ Is there active stripping by one of the other ?

+++++ Does the costume, hair & makeup enhance the performers ?

+++++ are moans realistic & related to actions ?

+++++ does sound vary greatly over clips ?

+++++ image quality great ?

Would you use the same criteria to judge a compact car and a luxury model? Of course not. So, one must expect more from Deskbabes, as we are paying more for the product.

An issue I've long had...and still have....with VGHD is that some of the shows do not have FULL nudity as advertised. If the models wear long boots, dark stockings, corsets or whatever in EVERY clip then the show does NOT feature full nudity! I'm allowing an exception for "regular" shoes (not boots).

Now it seems that we have the same issue with Deskbabes. I've only bought two shows, but one (Mily Jay and Carla Cox Duo) while explicit, does not feature full nudity. (Please correct me if I am wrong) In my opinion, a show that does not feature full nudity with both models ...especially given the higher price...simply can not be rated higher than 7.

I am now more cautious in my purchases. Totem...want sales? Give us full nudity!

EverthangForever, nice system. And you are all right, we are paying more for Deskbabes, 3 tickets per show and should expect more. I have a growing concern about the quality. In VGHD, the quality started out average, but quickly grew to almost perfection with sharp, crisp animations. Now with Deskbabes, it seems like the quality is moving in reverse, for example you will see many shows with girls wearing high heels, but the actual heels are cropped out of the image.

@TallandSlimMan & @Millertime agree. More and more porn sites are rediscovering good striptease as a complement to their explicit range of offerings. This all in brilliant HD with closeups. Time has run out for Totem to expect clients to again wade through months of low definition smudgey medium range pole distant and worse clips, waiting for an improvement.

The way forward for SOLO cards is probably to cut losses & release HD clips of new or favorite VGHD artists who can deliver high quality DB shoots of

--real nude (see @TallandSlimMan's post above)
--realistic orgasms; stepped build up of tension to climaxes & repeat,
--full size nude on task bar in HD for multiple orgasms,
--with sound incl. well scripted tease comments by artist, directional mics staged in for squelch & breathing.

If costs to hire are a problem, the principal performer could be given DB Godess status here by fans if she delivers well, and so attract a following warranting a surcharge for her cards. This step up to quality climax capable performers needs to be put on the menu somehow.

The past approach of half the DB card being a vibro equipped set of half dressed VGHD style performers doing chant=like moans, might be quaint now, but that novelty would be short lived in this competitive reality hungry market. More quality natural cumming to come hopefully.

For SOLO cards here are some equivalent questions that may be useful to rate DB Cards: as for Duos, add to a total, then divide by 12. A top ranking score for each question would be =10 and for lowest 0. Any other ideas welcome.
