The following cards are displayed with a discount:

My guess, and it is only a guess, is that what we are getting the discounts on is cards that have been put on Totem's servers during 2020. If this is the case then because Totem upload cards to their servers well in advance of releasing them for sale, often several weeks in advance, there are cards that were released in the first half of 2020 that are not getting the expected discount and cards that have been released in 2021 that are unexpectedly getting the discount.

At first sight this seems to be that either the software is using the wrong date-stamp for its determination of when a card was released or that the wording of the offer was incorrect and should perhaps have referred to cards produced in 2020 rather than released in 2020. Alternatively the word "released" may be referring to an internal release date (e.g. that of release from production to be ready for sale) rather than the externally meaningful date of the actual release for sale.

I don't know which alternative Totem intended, the only thing clear to me is that there is an inconsistancy somewhere. I benefit slightly from the few extra cards included, other will be missing out on rather more cards from early 2020 being excluded.

edit: 361 cards - there were 9 SEC cards incorrectly listed.

Using the Release Date filter on My Collection shows 372 cards released in 2020. The extra two over those initially listed by @Wyldanimal being f0617 and f0588 - both are SECs so the discount doesn't apply.

There is a release date filter in the store which I assume would return the same result.

So subtract 9 and you have 356
then add in the 5 missing cards and you are at 361 cards.

Thought i'd ask here first before I unreasonably contact customer services.
I don't regret getting the card, I only jumped straight away because of the sale, otherwise I would have waited later.

Little Caprice "Daytime Delight" is a 2021 card, so you can't have the discount on 2020 cards here.

So I didn't realise the sale offers were for 2020 cards only. and I was quite ***** when the new Caprice card which I purchased, suddenly said 'price updated' after I selected purchase.

Well the offer has always said that it was for cards released in 2020 and for most of us the ***** has been that there have been cards released this year that the discount was applied to while there were cards from last year that did not get included (which has since been rectified).

However, I was pleasantly surprised that I got a 30% discount on today's card.

For the 2021 cards my account history shows that I have paid the following amounts in credits

11, 9.63, 13.48, 0, 11, 9.63

the 0 being because I used a gift card, had I not done so it would have cost me 13.48 because its normal price was a high one like the previous day's duo card. It seems that 4 of the 6 had discounts while the other 2 did not. Why, who knows, but I am happy to receive them.

I also had the discount, just like for today's card. When I bought it on the day of release it was a "Flash sale". I've seen this before, sometimes this is only the first hour the card is available. (I have not paid attention to the time now).

@sjaakie - I have seen, and benefitted from, flash sales before but not 4 times in 6 days for that particular day's release as has happened so far this year. Maybe I have just been lucky.

Guys, you're (as usual) overthinking and overblowing the situation.

The card released today is offered at a discount because of an error in how the cards are tagged somewhere internally, and it hasn't been fixed yet.

Take advantage of the discount if you want to and it actually works, you won't be penalized, but there's no point in overthinking the reason for it appearing. It will be removed, like they did for all the other cards released in 2021 that were filmed in 2020 (I should've bought the Eva Yemma duo when it was on sale :D)

@Alkasyn - I am not overthinking it, I have always thought that it was probably an error that I have been lucky to benefit from. I do not think that I have been so lucky that I got 4 normal flash sales when buying 6 cards when I doubt that I have got 4 flash sales in total during the previous few years.

The discount Error has been reported to the Team.

@Philours - I can't tell if you are being serious or not, but the amounts are so small that it would almost certainly cost Totem far more to accept the offers to return the credits than than their actual worth.
