For those of you who do not like the "special event" feature:

Will we ever see this annoying thing go away? I really hope so! I simply want to buy my cards not earn them or whatever...this isn't a game but apparently it is! 👎

I'm really wanting to own Belka's "Housecall" card right now but apparently I am not special enough... 😒

No more games special event!

Kinda like what parents tell their kids, which makes them so common. Just like SECs in fact... 😆

@POPEYED I don't like the concept of special cards, or at least the way to get them at the moment. But as someone suggested some time ago in the forum, if we stop seeing SECs as special, therefore stop chasing them, there won't be anything special about them.
I'm sure if we're patient, people will get fed up of the same old gambling games, and there will probably be a way of getting these cards directly.

I look at SEC just like everything else.

I go to a strip club and see a "dance" special, but the dancer I want is with another customer. I am out of luck.

I go to a bar and the drink special is for shots, but I want a beer. I am out of luck.

I go to a casino to play craps and choose table A and table B has the hot hand. I am out of luck.

Some times, on a good day, I get the dance I want or I get a special on my drink, or I get on a lucky streak at the tables.

such is life.

(I do love my beer)

Been around for some time.. not nearly as long as most vets here.... but people keep posting the same thing over and over... if you stop buying or playing for special event cards, then they will change their ways... but time and time again, you see people post had "mad" they are that they spent "x" amount and didnt win... its EVERY time... so no, SEC are not going away, NO they will not be made to purchase, and some people will ALWAYS gamble for them..... look at all these events and see how many people win/lose but still pay... its what they count on and the small echo chamber here on the forums isnt enough to pursade them to change and you are not going to get everyone to stop trying to win them because even if a few do play, its money for them and that is what they bank on.... I have won a few SEC cards, and wish I had more... so is the gamble... best we can hope for is the ones who always play will always play and the ones who stick to their guns and dont gamble... good for them.... but its never going to change..... too many people play and they know that..... $$$$

@POPEYED hope you stay safe and healthy too.

@Vortim we can only speculate on the number af actual gamblers, but since there are new SECs and a scratch game every month, I agree it's probably the most lucrative TGIF promotion for Totem.
But think about it, SECs just like other cards lose value over time, let's say you gamble for Belka's card but you end up getting other less popular SECs like Olivia Sin's, how long do you think an average member is gonna keep playing knowing it's becoming more and more difficult to get the card you actually want? What's it gonna be like in a year's time, with a dozen more SECs? How long before many members realise it's not worth it anymore?

@gkar45 my bad, I thought you were joking. I'm not holding my breath on this one, I know it's gonna take time, but as I just said, cards lose value over time. How much will the 1st or not so popular SECs be worth in a year? This might not be so attractive to members, or new members for that matter. I remember VIP cards, I also remember they were made available eventually. How much are they worth now?
Virtuagirl Classic (d series) and Deskbabes (c series) cards were more expensive when introduced ; now they are worth 1/3 or 1/4 of their original price.

Olivia Sin's SEC is a very good card. It had poor reviews only because it's a New Year card while people waited for a Xmas card (better not to comment on such a thing...)

They should use the SEC for models they couldn't otherwise get. Then have the gambling way of getting them with possibly a low luck option where if you upfront buy let's say 1k points then you get it for sure or something.

totem could make the SEC unknown. Just release a card without a model and say... here is a new one..... no picture, no image, no nothin'

talk about frustrating!!!

bwah ha ha!!!!

(to make it worse, they could hack into our message board accounts and pretend to be us and give the card great reviews!!!)

@willyweekly haha, that would really piss off a lot of members; there would probably be members to give away the mystery card's model anyway, so the secrecy wouldn't be for very long. But it's a fun idea 😀

@HansSachs & gkar45 I actually like all Olivia Sin's shows, I was glad I got that card with the advent calendar. I just used her name as an example, meaning the gamble would be to obtain the latest SEC, but instead you are given another SEC you didn't want. And the more SECs there are, the more difficult it's gonna be for a member to get a specific one.

I don't mind SECs, if this makes most members happy I'm fine with that. I didn't criticise when SECs were added to a package, like Advent calendars. It's a nice reward for the ones who get all the cards. It's the way of getting other SECs that should be reconsidered, when they are only available through the Scratch Game. This is what dissatisfied members seem to agree on.
I suggested there would probably be a better way of getting them some day, once people are fed up of gambling.

I just got the SEC from Olivia Sin the other day and this show confirms me in my decision to give almost nothing to this oh so great scoring system where many people leave their brains off when they give the points. I judge only by my own taste and certainly not by the fact if some fathead just couldn't download the corresponding card, if there was a bugged clip or if the show came for Christmas as a New Year's Eve greeting.

But I will not stop cursing this damned sales tactic with the help of SEC's.

It's upsetting that SECs are not even available for purchase when it comes out. It's straight to gambling upon release.

@Vortim, the problem there is that there are some users that have bought every card so they have a huge sunk cost fallacy/***** of missing out. So they will pay ridiculous amounts to keep their full collection (though some have said f it and said they won't buy any more credits).

Proveing my point as to why they will never go away and never be for sale.... Is it really a "problem" in Totems eyes? Nope....

Totem offers approximately 4520 cards....There are 14 SE cards. 9/14 cards are from girls who have 12 or more shows. So we are ***** about 0.3% of cards, where 70% of these 0.3% are from girls with huge collections available. And none of them are considered truly special...one has roller skates, another has a shopping bag, a few are seasonal. The real "problem" is the fact that people aren't willing to go without 0.3% of a collection without paying exhorbinant prices...is it ego or just an addiction.

Even weirder...a person with 4520 cards...lets say they watch 8 hours of cards a day, every day, it would take 420 days to watch their collection. So we have people collecting who might never watch a card, or only watch it once, who are spending massive amounts of money. Something isn't right.

Well i also have stopped gambling for these Cards, since i'm an unlucky Person i do not ***** more Credits for this.
But:
How about a, lets call it "Bonus Card" System like you have in some Shops.
So you buy something get a stamp on your Bonus Crad and when its full you get something.

Back to iStripper, you buy a Card and get your virtual Stamp on your virtual Bonus Card and when you have i dont know 100 stamps together you earn a Joker Card.
This meens that People (like myself) who probably buy all cards that are going to be released can "earn" 3 Joker Cards a Year(or more if they dont have a full Collection).
Make this exclusive to Premium Members and you will sell alot more Memberships.
For the Ones who like the gambling there could still be the Games.

I guess you're right, the Profite that Totem is making with the Games is way higher.
I just thought this would be an more fair System for the loyalest Customers.
