Why was the opportunity to purchase 100 credits removed?

Because buying 2 X 500 credits is much more expensive than buying 1100 credits at one time.

@misiak19, you have been a member for just 13 months and you already have 598 cards in your collection. Calculate now how much money you spent buying packages of 100 credits and how much money you would spend buying packages of 500 credits.
The difference is huge, isn't it? I would think about buying at least 500 credits. You will pay a larger amount once, but it will go cheaper in the long run.

@lukaszr True, but I do not earn in Euro and for us, the expense of 50 euros is more noticeable than 15.
It is better to buy 100 credits than spend on 500.
In addition, having enough cards, buying 500 credits is pointless because there are not so many interesting new cards

I suppose it is different which packages people see. I see 25cr, 100cr, 250cr and 500cr packages.

A more continuative availablity has been requested many times, but it looks like Totem preferes to give it to us only during some special offers - at least for now.
