Now that the number of us that have full collections has gone above 100 the top 100 collections seems to me to have lost much of its point - especially as the ordering from oldest to newest will make it hard or impossible for newer members to get onto that list no matter how many cards they buy.

The Order of the Top 100 could be changed from Longevity of the Member, to Order of the Last Card Purchased.
So the member who purchased the Card that filled their collection the Earliest is at the top.

This would allow even new members who have the full collection to rank in the top 100

@Wyldanimal - a modification of some sort along those general lines could probably be found, but just basing it on the last card purchased would not quite work because all of us with complete collections would have purchased the last card within the last 24 hours (except when the last day of the month was a Friday, Saturday or Sunday) and there would be some geographical bias arising from the different daylight/evening hours around the world if the time resolution was smaller than one day. Maybe giving "priority" those who have purchased most cards in the previous month would work, but there may well be a problem with that as well.

All this is of course all a rather ***** glitch in a ***** feature of the system, but at it stands the top 100 could end up being almost meaningless if it stays as it is. In the short term it could be expanded from 100 to some larger number, but that would eventually become unwieldy if published as a simple list.

Being the oldest member with a full collection I agree this list is a bit nonsense as it is now. Either you change the way it's ordered, maybe as Wyld suggest, or you list ALL members with a full collection. As it is now... It doesn't say much.

All purchases are recorded in iStripper time, and just like the Old Auctions, i'm sure the time stamp is down to the millisecond.
So it is very plausible to list the top 100 in descending chronological order based on when the last card that completed their collection was purchased.

but it was just a suggestion, to add some meaning back to the list..

@Wyldanimal - Using a fine grained timestamp would introduce geographical bias because of when the users are active in different parts of the Earth - those of us in Europe tend to buy earlier than those in the US for example because we are awake earlier. To be "fair" it would be necessary to discard everything below the day level of significance, but that just means that more than 100 users would tie for first place. I am sure something could be worked out, but it is not at all clear to me what that would be without overcomplicating matters.

@DIDGEDRUM - I suspect that there may be a few users that just like to see their name in the list, and there may even be some who think that the position in the list matters. The only things I ever got out of it was how many full collections there were and some idea of how many were almost complete, but now that the number of complete collections is over 100 not even that information is available.

It's cool to be on the list, however that's not a really good reason to keep a collection up to date. I don't see the point in that... It's like getting a high score on an arcade game, just keep feeding it money to see your name in lights!!! I suggest to enjoy the shows and photo sets, now that's worth feeding it money!!!
