Little conseil for beginner no more 10 a 15 cards
uninstall the program and reinstall it
when you see the first page you see DATA DESTINATION FOLDER
c:/Document and setting/YOUR NAME/application data/vghd/

use BROWZE and change it where you have the most place on drive disk, of preference not on drive c:
look large place 300 giga, the collection now make 133,8 Go for 448 cards and bonus.
Choose a easy name like
d:/virtua/
d:/vir/ ---- my choise
you must create the new directory before
with this method you can find the vghd folder quickly
after the rest is easy.


For the silver, gold and platinium ATTENTION should copy the totality of the file vhgd to you from another disk hard
the problem is that if you to inadvertently erase vghd, the recovery of the cards by remote loading will be very long

DON'T FORGET TO CHECK THE BOX FOR USE YOUR EXISTING ACCOUNT.

before all make a copy of all your show.
MAKE A COPY OF ALL YOUR SHOW !!!!!!!!

as you made the copy from your number show what will take a little time.
you check well that you have all to copy.

in general the folder is there
c:/Document and setting/YOUR NAME/application data/vghd/
copy then the folder VGHD, have a look in if you have DATA and MODELS folder.

name of destination exemple
d:/VIR

and before uninstall move the folder original vghd.

uninstall and reintall, the program ask you where you place the data, here you write the location of your copy on the new hardrive.

test and if all is ok, you can remove the ancien folder of vghd, but try to make a copy of security.

take your time
have good day and lot of luck.

ps if you uninstall whihout copy is take several time for restaure all your show like, 7 minutes the show for the quick reference then (7*number show) minutes for you.
and 15 at 25 minutes the show for the bad reference.

Now open the disk hard C: and if you see this screen support on content show directory.

you can see now the contents of the hard drive C:
Find (documents and settings).

here the name of your computer

here the folder hide: application data

here the vghd directory

and here to find you models,

1024 by 768

75-100 Hetz for the speed of the 2 screen

PPP with 96

and the color on 32 bits

I finaly got this to work flawlessly with your help. I run CATALYST CONTROL CENTER software on my pc and use multiple monitor support sometimes..I'm not sure but one of the displays was set at lower refresh rate than the other..even though I wasn't connected to the other..I think they were conflicting with one another but I did'nt notice it till now and changed it to the same on both at 75hz and all other settings the same and it worked..I was also able to display it at 1024x768 or the 1280 you suggested.I didn't try any other resolution but those two so I don't know if they work too...I was too afraid to try...LOL.

Changing the location where models files and data files are stored ie: larger or external drive.


Note: (If you are not well versed in computer operations please try the proceedure provided by totem in the help section of this web site first) This method involves editing registry values and is not recomended by Totem team as it can lead to more problems and headaches if done improperly.

That haveing been said if you feal skilled enuff to try here it is.

First Copy contents of data and models folders to new location.

Go to start menu click run, in the field type "regedit" without the quote's, click OK button, in vista user accounts controle will ask your permission to continue, click continue, the registry editor should now be open. Contiued>>>>>>>

On Left hand side follow the tree of registry keys to this entry.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER_Software_Totem_vghd_System

The values to edit are DataPath and ModelsPath.

Right click on each one seperatly and chose Modify from context menu,in the field type the exact path to your new storage location (Example: F:\VGHD\Data for data folder and F:\VGHD\Models for models folder "useing your own drive letter and path")Click OK Button, close registry editor.

If it was all done correctly you should be all set now.
If everything is working properly and folders for data and models are still in old location you can delete them now.
