@kev1n2: the miscount was partly caused because of voting like you just did, omitting to post separately the girl you vote for.

I tend to agree with CV .I usually only have time to skim read the last 50 posts and this ladder thing is taking over .Perhaps a winner can be declared and we move on .?

Some self moderation is indeed needed here.
How about One new ladder a Day..
That way Members have something to look forward to the Next day, A new Ladder
Instead of just letting it run un-moderated as it is now..
Quick Statistics:
In 23 days this thread has created over 600 posts.. 612 I think.
or 26 posts per day average, taking up over 50% of the last 50, every day for the past 23 days..
Too much of anything is no good..

I never saw the use of the 50 last posts. I am around since 2008 and used it maybe once or twice in all that time. I always refer to the Recent Forum Posts myself and the Hottest Topics as they list each thread once only to see what was going on. Maybe this technique could be used for the 50 last posts too then it would show each thread only once including this one. This would mean that the users of the 50 last posts could see the 50 last threads instead which should give them a much better picture whats going on.
@WA: Can you explain what you mean by A new ladder per day? I think to start a new ladder daily would rather increase the number of posts than lessen it. Or do you mean one challenge per day which would limit the number of posts per day to 10?
I agree to CV btw that this is a game and shouldn't be taken so seriously that each miscount starts a spitting match.

People do use the last 50 posts to gain an insight into what is happening in the forum overall without having to go into each and every single category then investigate each topic to see what is happening.
