...?

If I check only full nudity, she comes on with clothes on.

If I check topless and full nudity, she comes on with clothes...?

If I check explicit and full nudity, she comes on topless?

She's out of my control. :(

It's all down to the slightly daft, overly stringent and certainly misleading way that the Totem team classify the clips. Their guidelines for level classification are based on how "explicit" the girl's behaviour is rather than strictly by the level of nudity.

They are mostly far too strict in their implementation of those guidelines though, and quite honestly their interpretation of what constitutes "explicit" behaviour, or other definitions for each level, is very different from what the vast majority of customers would want or expect.

The QA team often argues for more sensible classification of clips based on clearer and more common sense criteria, but we seldom get very far quite honestly.

I would offer an alternative view.

That is speed signs. Here at least in Australia, the speed signs in Australia are set at the lowest common denominator, not the highest.

That is they are set at the "safest" level, not at what "most" people would consider acceptable.

In these days of litigation and law suites, where everyone else is to blame, do you blame THEM, for erring on the safer side?

I don't even though I personally agree with Spacephantom's view of Totem's conservatism, therefore I will support their stance AND I have heard all the arguements.

@Cartref - yes you make a good point about setting clips at the "safest level, and that is what the Totem team tend to do (although they claim it has nothing to do with litigation or law suites and everything to do with customer choice). I have no objection whatsoever to that.

Unfortunately though, the highly subjective and ambiguous nature of the criteria used, lead to many inconsistencies in classification and rather ludicrous situations - such as many level 4 clips being less explicit than clips at level 2 or 3 in the same show. And the example in Sherry's new show "Brunch Cruise", where two correctly x-rated clips are undifferentiated from 3 much tamer clips which are classed level 5, but are not really stronger than you would expect at level 4.

So I'm really not surprised at seeing an increasing number of comments from members expressing ***** or disappointment in clip levels.

It's really a matter to be discussed in QA though, but I hope this exchange gives naughtypriest and others an idea of the issues involved and why the "random hotness" levels are often not what they expect.
