Hi,Y'all,
I recently replied to a posting,then almost immediately regretted it.It must have been that time of the month. I've got the painters in.I tried to edit it out completely, but not before someone else had followed me up. NOW, I completely understand the reason for the inability to edit in those circumstances,but I was intrigued by the whole process. What exactly is the significance of "when" someone edited a posting, and "how often" they did so ? Maybe I should take my own advice,and read the bumf.

Oh,Hello,matey,
You still here ? I think everyone's gone home,pal.Still,I'll keep you company if you like!Does the 47a pass by here? If not,looks like I'm walking. Hey,you probably won't believe this, but they've only gone and put a Yankee flag against the English-speaking section! Yeah,I know!! Enough to make your stiff upper lip go all flaccid,innit? Mamma Mia,Chiquitita,in the words of ABBA,arguably the greatest American band,ever,"When all is said and done,that's the name of the game,the winner takes it all!" Still, I have a Dream!!!

ABBA wasn't an American band...

They were mostly from Sweden.

And I agree, they were good.

@Dc4bs
Your almost right about ABBA. They were all from Sweden ;)

The last thing I heard Björn and Benny were working on some new musical to follow Mamma Mia. Annefrid is married to some prince in Monaco or something and Agneta lives a quiet secluded life at her mansion outside Stockholm, Sweden.

Through the years they have been offered absurd amounts of money to do a reunion but always turned it down. It has been rumored they were offered 1 Billion dollar for ONE(1) concert on the millennium night. Crazy! ;)

Hmm... anyway... we seam to have come a bit out of topic here. I guess the reason for the info about when a post has been edited is to be able to see if someone made changes that might make later replies look strange.

I think DIDGEDRUM was extracting the urine (i.e. taking the piss), a good pastime here in Merry Olde Angland. The idea is that one tries to get a reaction from unsuspecting targets, and you fell for it, as we say Hook Line and Sinker.

@DIDGEDRUM

Sorry to ruin your fun, but a lot of the excolonial people just don't understand the English sense of Humour. Even if they are European and only aspire to being excolonials ;D
