AS A VETERAN OF THE THE U.S. ARMY FROM A VERY UNPOPULAR WAR IN THE 70'S I THINK IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL IF WE COULD MAYBE GET TOGETHER AND DO SOMETHING FOR OUR TROOPS. THEREFORE FORE I PROPOSE THAT VG SET UP AN ACCOUNT WHERE WE CAN PURCHASE TICKETS FOR OUR ARMED ***** THESE GUYS ARE SERVING IN MUSLIM COUNTRIES AND THIS TYPE OF ENTERTAINMENT IS MOSTLY FORBIDEN I AM SURE VG CAN WORK OUT SOME SORT OF AUTHENTICATION PROCESS TO PREVENT FRAUD I PROPOSE THAT FOR EVERY VG GIRL WE BUY WE DONATE 1 TO A SOLDIER WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE THINK?

It would be a good idea, but VG would lose a ton of money if you "set up an account" for the troops instead of individual accounts. It is better to invite a soldier in Iraq or Afghanistan to VG. You get free tickets, I think, for every friend you invite. So, invite one you know and tell him to spread the word.

I have two brothers but they ***** this kind of stuff. And my sister is there as well but there is no way in hell am I going to Virtuaguy for her. lol.

I think it is a good idea but I feel this is a better Option. If you have friends or loved ones in the military fighting overseas or even if they are stationed at home you can just do this to show your appreciation.

The farther you are away from politics and religion the better. Neither are a good mix with naked ladies!

Good idea, but not too practical. Totem should do a better job of marketing its product to the troops. One way would be to make it easier to get a free card. They should also make it easier to gift tickets.

I think it would be nice to do something for the troops (all the troops), but I doubt there is any practical way to do it except individually as mentioned by other members.

Thanks for the idea!

This idea might be a nice gesture in principle as long as it applied to all NATO troops serving abroad and not just US troops (lets keep in mind that this is an international forum based in Europe). I think it would be kind of pointless in practice though.

Personally I'm more concerned with the number of British soldiers who have been ***** in Afganistan lately, and would prefer to see them getting the extra manpower, supplies and air support they need to better do their job and increase their safety.

Besides that, there are a lot of female soldiers serving abroad these days, including front line troops. I suspect most of them wouldn't appreciate a few free VG cards so much.

I think a worldwide company should avoid this. Either a group of people here stands to get very angry or totem could lose out a ton!!! There isn't much of a positive to come out of this in the end.

I am also not taking part in the poll. I am not a liberal... I believe that soldiers in general get taken care of pretty well. I'm not sure how it is with the rest of the world but, not all companies of the world need to support soldiers. As American, I've had plenty. Thank you.

The only time soldiers will get well looked after is when the politicians who voted for the war are sent into the front line trenches equipped with the standard basic equipment.

Well... I got well taken care of... thats me in my pic in Iraq. playing guitar in a small 4 person lookout/communications post we built. I was paid well, fed, given shelter, great equipment and training. The bad things about the military are ***** the the ass details and missing home. I got out, don't get messed with, and got a great job. Even after I got out, I've seen all kinds of benefits and help come my way. I don't actually know anyone who isn't or hasn't been taken care of except a few lazy people and ***** ***** or alcoholics. Everywhere you turn, someone wants something extra for soldiers. We get plenty... thanks. If its specifically American soldiers your worried about then guess what... get Obama on the phone before next week because he's sending more out to Afgan...
