It has to do with the April Pre-Sale bug.
When Members Purchased the Pre-Sale, the Bug gave them Rights to All of the cards at once.
to correct this issue,
any card with the No Longer Available BIT set, can no longer be seen as part of the Collection.
The Rights to play them has temporarily been removed.
for the April cards, the rights are put back when that card is properly released.
But for the Others, the Team doesn't want to do them One by One for each Member..

After the April Event is Over, it will be corrected.
the Team will do a Global rights reset, and all Members will have them back.

Just Don't try to do anything to the files.
it should be fixed early in May.

This would also be a good time to download her picture sets & videos.....as they will probably be removed from the server too.

I owned 20 removed cards before this Alba da Silva event. Just copied her 6 cards to my backup folder. However, I just discoverd that the previous 20 cards can not be found in the latest version of iStripper, 1.2.379 on my Mac. All 20 cards are present in both my data and models folders, but when I search by card number they do not appear. I have never requested a refund and I don't plan to. I don't think I've ever tried to update those cards, but I can't be sure. Is there anything I can do? All necessary data is present in both the data and models folders and I have duplicates in my backup folders.

First a fire some years ago, now a flooding - hope that's the end of it :)

Is it just me I wonder? All this chat about one model and her shows being removed.
Before today Alba Da Silva, how many of us even remembered her?

I guess it's the chance of this happening to much more popular models that has upset so many.
It will happen more often as more models move on with their lives and also want to forget about their adult entertainment work.

So it's really up to each of us to keep our own back ups of the ones we really value. Not try and blame the model or Totem for what is being done.

There are still over 800 other models to enjoy. It's not like the end of the world.

If you have a lower resolution like 720p or 1080p, and want to upgrade to 3k before the cards are taken off, DON'T!

You will have Accidently deleated the files for their show, and won't be able to get them back.

Happened to me, had one of the lost taken off card had a upgrade in resolution, downloaded and deleated the data.

I didn't want to make that card collection disappear, I liked her too...

P.S.

Apparently, the model who deleated her cards off VGHD/Istripper that I accidently deleated, wound up going back to her former job which was modeling.

It may happen to Alba da Silva too, Who knows...

I understand that they request this.. I only wish they think a little bit more when they start a career like this.. I wonder if she will ask the other sites she worked for/with the same question .. When april is finished and the other shows that now because off the pre order bug are removed, when they hopefully return and work again,I will get a fresh HDD or SSD and I will make a nice backup to keep what I payed for just to be safe and do not loose those shows if ever something goes wrong...

THAT is really a worse News ! - I loved her SHOWS and most of all her Erotics at this Time - the ONLY worse point was that in 3 of her 6 Shows she did wore always the same (but nonetheless good looking) Stockings most of all - that she wore also the same Shoes - but the later was not so important ( because the Shoes were good too nonetheless). And NEGATIVE was also of course - that she never returned at least for a Take 2 for example. What I would like is to be refund in credits. Apparently it's possible if I ask for it. This is what I will do.

The Team will decide this on a Case by Case basis.

In General.
If you still have the Animation Files, and you can still play the card.
There would be no Case to get a refund, just because you want one.

It would be similar to
I played the Friday Event and won 10 cards I don't want, can I get refunded?

If you lost the animation files and can no Longer play the card.
Then the Team might decide differently.

Normally your purchase history is used to determine the credits spent for the card
and that is what you would be refunded.

If you Won the cards in an Event.
then the Team would have to decide how to handle that.

Always Back up the FULL DATA folder and FULL MODELS folder for that card Number.
Keep at least 2 copies.

NEVER try to update the cards. NEVER !
NEVER try to change the resolution, NEVER !

in Fact, I Select the cards, and click on the EYE icon to move them to the Hidden Cards Group.
That way, I never Accidentally Group Select them, if I'm Updating or Changing resolution.

As has been explained in earlier posts in this thread (and every time that it has happened previously) you can ask for a refund.

Maybe, but Totem have no choice in the matter. The law, and the court ruling against Totem, requires them to do this if the model asks for it.

After all, you can't download it again with a new computer!

As long as you have the files on the old computer there is no need to redownload cards when you get a new computer - just copy the files from the old system to the new one - or in the case of the animation files if you have them on an external drive just use that drive on both machines.

Myself not collecting but also you can think of the movies and pictures which you can download. But I never do anymore. To much cards.

In French law it is apparently an inalienable right for the models to be able to request that their shows are removed from the servers. Because it is an inalienable right it overrides anything to the contrary in a contract.

The first time it happened Totem challenged it in court, and lost. It seems to have been an expensive excercise.

So yes, it could happen at any time with any model's shows - even those released today.

In some cases Totem has come to an agreement with the models that those of us that had already purchased the cards can continue to download them, in some others not even that is allowed.

The cards are in lease, we should be happy offline content will be available after bug fix end of this month. In the past I recieved some credits refund as well without question. So would advice to contact support, but now you can still play the card as well make a backup of the folder.

I am not willing to backup all shows, being able to download then anytime is part of the deal for me. Could you elaborate a bit more?

Nope, You Need RIGHTS to play the cards.
if you get a refund, then the Rights to play the card are removed from your Account.

Make as Many Backup copies as you want.
Without the Rights, you can't play them.

You NEED 3 things to be able to Play a card.
1) The RIGHTS to play it.
2) The animation files, that the rights grant you a License to play them.
3a) the aXXXX.vhdtrailers file in the Models folder
3b) the aXXXX.vhdshows file in the Models folder

If you are missing any of the 3 things above, you can not Play the card.

So as long as you never contact the Team and ask about the removed shows,
you will keep the RIGHTS to play the cards.
as long as you have a backup of the Models and Data folder for the card.
you can recover it, and play it.
You can create the Missing aXXXX.vhdshows and aXXXX.vhdtrailers files if needed.

I will be buying her other cards.

By the way, you have until the 2th of May to download them.
If you have the shows yet, make sure to do a backup of them. The shows remain yours for ever and can be played in the app when you want to watch them.
