Pour ma par je m'en soucie peu, ceux que je reconnais sont sympas, les autres ne me pousseront probablement pas vers des jeux ou BD généralement d'origine Japonaise😉
Mais si cela est important pour certains à titre d'info, certains utilisateurs éclairés pourraient le signaler dans les commentaires et celui-ci pourrait être épinglé par un modérateur intéressé 😊

I think Emu is correct - if the company actually named the character of whom the cosplay is a parody, it would be likely to open them up to copyright actions.

The disclaimer that is posted on each cosplay card is very carefully worded.

I don't think it would be an issue to mention the original fiction / characters since they already insist on the fact they are parodies.
You might have noticed some are actually mentioned on the artwork banners in the 'Featured' tab.

If anyone has a serious answer, it would be appreciated. Especially from the Totem team, but knowing them I don't count on it.

Especially since the research to find the answers is sometimes difficult and arduous, especially when one is not a connoisseur of the universe of games, manga and others.

It would be interesting to know the original. I know the idea of the cosplay, but rarely do I see something I recognize. When I do see the original mentioned, I do a quick search and it adds a little flair to the show. (Sometimes, it creeps me out, but usually it is a good thing.)

I am the same way. I recognized Pikachu (Belkachu) immediately. But that is all.

I also want to know the origins.

I note that some VR porn sites do a lot of cosplay, naming the characters and/or fandom, referring to them as parodies. Some of these videos are a few years old, suggesting they have not had significant copyright issues.

I also have a theory that most of these mainstream movie producers don't really want to get involved in a public fight with porn companies, as it would then associate them with porn (even if unintentional). It also publicises the porn company even more.
