Hy
maybe this is a stupid question that was alredy asked and answered a million times, but here it is, again, why cant i buy Eva Elfies card that appeared today? how does one get special events cards anyway? I am a premium member, 2 diamonds, and yet i still dont have access to these cards, what one must do to be able to buy them? DO I have to sell my soul to the devil first?

thanks

Hi @Karandros

It has been asked a million times and has been the cause of much debate and anger within the forums.

Simple fact - you cannot buy them. They are there to act as inducements to participate in gambling events where the prize is either an SEC or a "joker" card which you could swap for an SEC.

The games are desiugned to make you spend a lot of credits to win the card and the odds of winning are never published.

The reality is that unless you are a "completist" collector (where you must have everything) then these cards are really not that special.

I liked when the "gambling" games (like the scratch cards, etc) were a ***** "fun" game. I spent credits and quite often got credits back or cards - many of which I would not have chosen or were old "classics" that I never bought at the time.

A couple of months ago, it seemed to me (and this is of course subjective) that there was a switch. This system of jokers and special events cards came in, and suddenly I wasn't getting the prizes (creidts or cards) as much. It honestly felt less like a game than a "house always wins" gamble. It really felt as if the odds had been "tweaked".

I've sunk quite a lot of credits into these "games", but since they've been introduced, I've never won a "joker" or a "Special Event Card". Of course, this may be bad luck, but it feels to me - a fairly long-time faithful customer - like a "the house always wins" exploitation. Sadly. I don't think I'll ever see Eva Elfie's card, no matter how many credits I sink into these "games".

Don't sell your soul. The devil is having trouble getting SECs as well. 😉

FYI, the Black Friday 2019 promotion provided a straightforward (though potentially expensive) path of getting these. Each time you spent credits on the slots or on a scratch card, you accrued points that eventually rewarded you with the Jia Lissa SEC card and, later, a Joker card. I don't know whether Totem will provide something similar in the future or not, but I would be surprised if they didn't. I'm keeping my Joker until there's an SEC I absolutely have to have.

@601bes:

As you say, it's definitely subjective, but I feel the same way. I seemed to be a lot "luckier" when buying scratch cards during the Black Friday 2019 promotion than I have on scratch cards since then. Of course, that's how luck works, but it would be nice to know if the odds have actually changed..

Hey y'all, for me it took 228 scratches to get SEC (Eva Elfie/ Cuddling Up),
and then 27 scratches more to climb back to break even; Total 255 .😕
Luck was on a 100 credit roller coaster for the TGIF Mystery Envelope.
I never went more than 50 credits below or above starting balance.
So, I spent nothing, except 3 hours over a 6 hour period.
Am I crazy or is this just a broke rabbit hole I have fallen in ? 😧
Chasing the illusive SEC, appropriately Eva Elfie looks like a white rabbit
on this one.😛
