I don't have an external hard drive but I don't format all my partitions when I have to reinstall Win. Up until now I always re-downloaded my models after reinstalls but now I have hundreds so I want to do it the smart way :)

@HighHeelsLover - Use the settings tab to move your model folder to somewhere that will not be destroyed by the windows update, backup the vghd\data folder and restore it after you update windows and make sure that the models folder points to the correct place after reinstalling iStripper. If you do not have any user defined scenes you could skip the backup and restore of the data folder (though I would not recommend it) as, unlike the models folder, its contents will be downloaded quite quickly.

@TheEmu - Thank you. I do have some scenes that I downloaded from the forum, and also a couple of playlists. Is it ok if I just backup the scenes and playlists subfolders, instead of the whole data folder?

@HighHeelsLover - yes, you just need to backup things that you have added, i.e. scenes, playlists, musics and skins, but I find it easier and safer to backup everything and then restore anything that does not get reinstalled. I use a program called Beyond Compare to see what needs restoring.
