"The lost Agent"

This one is intriguing. Despite my efforts i wasn't able to find anything about this. My trusty and appreciated sources doesn't know almost anything about it and some others never responded to my inquiries (how rude!).

Anyway, surfing the net i've found traces of a Totem's product that never saw the light of day. It was called "SexyAgent", and it seems that it was planed to be released like eight years ago.

Apparently it was supposed to be some kind of desktop assistant, probably something like the annoying paper clip with eyes that every microsoft user knows, but with hot chicks and naughty. I dunno. There's almost nothing there to get more detailed info. It sounds kinda cool, though, a pretty virtual secretary. I imagine it could have worked like this:

SexyAgent: Good morning, Oquijan. The calendar shows that is time to do your taxes. Would you like me to open... to do this task?
Oquijan: "Nah, get naked"
SexyAgent: "Gladly, sir!"

Ok, i'm just fantasizing. The truth is that i have no idea. There was even a rumor that a softer version called "PrettyAgent" was also being developed.

All i know is that Totem owns the "SexyAgent" name and domain and that the product was real enough to release some banners advertising it.

that was back in 2002... Here is a broken image I found on backups. Project was never released because we could not decide if the girl would be there just to tease/strip (which would be too close to VG) or to really help (which would have required too much programing back then). I remember we filmed at least one girl.

@shodan, i have that image too somewhere... it was part of a "girls of stripsaver" screensaver or something. i remember i was looking for screensavers featuring sexy women for a very old desktop which only had the basic windows 95 ones, and i found that one. unfortunately i was unimpressed with the screensaver as it only featured about 8 images, but i was very impressed with the girls, and actually went looking for stripsaver, which was, i believe, how i first discovered totem, and ultimately signed up to VGHD... shame i can't remember any of those girls appearing on VGHD, i think they were all from Virtuagirl 2 (and Stripsaver, obviously)

These are old VG2/SS2 wallpapers reused by Totem in their shady marketing... Revamped as VirtuaGirlHD girls even thou Non of them are actually on VGHD... (yet)

Let's hope all of them are released as part of the reprocessing of old VG2 cards they are working on... I'd really love to see Erica on VGHD!

Just to complement a little. Accesses to those wallpapers was restricted at first in a private area back in the days of VG2. Now they are for grabs if you want them.

Artwork...

...and all the things you can't leave behind.


Time to tell some stories about artwork and related stuff. Here some interesting and curious things i dug out.

This gonna take some time to post, so please wait till the whole thing is posted before adding some comments. ;)

The very first one.

Yup, this is the first artwork ever posted, at least in the "User Artwork" forum. This piece is the creation of 54lonyludy, posted on January 15, 2008.

The second piece submmited was posted just a few hours latter. This one by gariniah.

As you can see, this was the first ever censured in the Artwork forum. There was the "No nudity" restriction in the beginning, but the very same day this was posted, the prohibition was lifted by the team member TotemLocks8, making, at the same time, the User Artwork forum available only for users with at least a bronze star.

Also, the first work posted combining two art expressions by adding poetry to the image.

The lost collection.

Ah, but there was art before the VG forum. As you can see, the models pages used to have an artwork tab.

That tab gave you accesses to some of the users works. The difference between the artwork forum and that tab gallery was that the artwork needed to be submitted for the Totem's approval. herve78350 was in charge of the artworks selection, at least back on the early months of 2009 (before or after that time, i dunno).

The selection criteria, i've been told, was that the artworks had to feature the model as the main motive. Works featuring nudity were allowed, but only users that owned the cards had the privilege to view those. Users got messages communicating them the approval or rejection of their submissions.

Here's a piece made by Starryk. It was submitted by him and got the approval, so it's a good example of what Totem was looking for.

With the launch of the 1.0.2.32 version of the software, on July 02, 2009, the artwork tab was removed.

On the thread "Where did the USERS ARTWORK tab going ???", by LuckyRene, on July 03, 2009, some members wondered, and wondered some more, about the whereabouts of the tab and the artwork collection accessed through it. Apparently, inquires to the customer service got explanations about some undisclosed problems and the promise that the tab would be restored soon enough.

Yeah, it never was. So, a notable portion of the artwork is hidden, buried deep inside of some storage device at the Totem's headquarters.

Or simply lost forever. Who knows?

Cards with alternative artwork.

Several users had made nude replacement cards for those who like more spicy versions of the ones that the company offers. Several users started their own collections and shared them with the community, even though just a few had, and have, the dedication and will to deliver a full collection, and more than one set, up to date (i salute ya, lady and gents).

Now, as a very tenacious detective or as a guy with way too much free time to ***** (take your pick), i searched for the very first nude card ever made and the user that started the boom.

As with all the complicated investigations, the answers lied far away in time and space, even beyond the boundaries of the VG forum.

Some years ago there was a fan site dedicated to VG with a forum incorporated (the story about this forum is reserved for a latter installment). That forum is gone now, but a very reliable source confirmed that the user Kidcadet came up with the idea. No image available, though, or at least that i could find.

I did find, i believe, the first card created and posted in this forum. On March 01, 2008, in the thread "Option "nudity cards" for platinum members possible?", by *****, the nude variations were introduced to the larger audience of the VG community. The nude cards posted at the outside forum caught the attention of the OP, and many users supported the idea of getting less tamed variants to place in their software interface.

In that thread, on March 19, 2008, the user 869549vy made Chikita the the very first gal displayed in a card here without the unnecessary distraction of the clothes.

The cards showed here are a short compilation to exemplify the work of several of our dedicated members. It's not an exhaustive sample, mind you, there might be a lot more users that posted a few creations around the forum, but aiming to find them all would be crazy. Nevertheless, if someone wants to add some more examples, by all means, be my guest. ;)

And, yes, i've only posted a single card for each of this members, despite the fact that some of them have more than one collection with different styles. I'm sorry i had to censure the pics, but it was necessary to post them in here. You can see the original ones in another forum sections, but be advised, though, that several of this collections are posted in the platinum forum so, if you're not one of those, you'll see nothing.

Sometimes using alternative cards are not really an option, but the only way to go. There was a brief period not so long ago, where the company delivered cards that looked, well, like this. After some time the author(S) improved his/her/their technique, and some of the ugly pics were fixed. Cool, but he odd thing is why this early, and ugly, tryouts are still disturbing the view on the girls section. Hum...

The card on the down row, right end, is one of the several made by CyberVixen, who had mercy on our eyes and rushed to gave us something nice to look at.
