StripSaver 2 was basically the same thing as the first version. featuring girls from VG2, it also introduced some little visual effects and the possibility to have a semi transparent model at all times while working in other things with the PC. As with the first version, you had to pay for this as a separate product.

The screensaver was incorporated latter to the VGHD software., so now we pay for one instead of two.

Finally, even though this is kinda recent and happened in my time here, i included this screenshoot of the old calendar for the benefit of those who arrived after the very controversial calendar changes episode, so you can see how it was. All the girls in your calendar back then were costed you 1 ticket as an special offer. Then it was replaced for the special offer in the website. VIP users have a limited version of that old calendar, in the sense that the trailers are one ticket specials.

Well, that's it with this brief walkthrough about the yesterday products.

I know i didn't talk about Vguy, but i really can't care less about that stuff and it's unrelated to this forum.

great job it takes me way back. i still watch the vg2 and ss2 formats once in awile just for the awsome models thay had back then.and your right it did often get far more explict than the vghd shows ever have.

How could I have forgotten Mandy, her tiny self is what got me hooked in the first place. The girls were so tiny then with a monitor setting of 800 X 600, you could make them a bit bigger by setting the rez to 640 X 480 .... LMAO

A lot of water went over the damn since then, makes me want to dig out my old 8 gig drive which was the biggest drive available at the time.

Oh, and for all members who were not members of VG2....Check the pics that have been provided here of "All" the girls of VG2...Notice the same ones that are here at VGHD. Then realize that these were shot for VG2 & were the first wave that were brought over to start VGHD-(they were the only ones that were technically able to be transferred from VG2 while keeping quality high.) It helps present members by letting us know which babes were shot long ago, so we don't live in expectation of "the new shows getting better/more explicit, etc." I'd guess the standard time these VG2 cards were shot was 2- 5 years ago.So download the piccy's fer yer own info when building up expectations.

Very good points by plasonic about shows originally shot for VG2 being the early ones for vghd. That also may explain why many of the early vghd shows feature girls with heavy eye makeup and loud costumes. It made them stand out more and made their features easier to see in the relatively low resolution of VG2.

For those who like going down mammary lane .."Beauties of Virtuagirl", was a free promo screen saver Totem made with Screensavermaker in 2005. You can still download it and install it in Windows XP compatability mode to run on Vista. Its basically a slideshow of promo cards, but interesting nevertheless.

Ok, a couple of short tales about outfits.

First, a tale of witches.

Back in the old days, there were some Halloween costumes in VG2, witches mostly, that the users loved.

So, naturally, there were petitions to Totem to deliver a witch for VGHD.

With the thread "New halloween Animation In HD" by bigmandingo27, on January 15, 2008, the quest for a new witch started. Of course that was kinda an early petition for the date, and Rex responded latter, on the same day: "I like the idea and my best advice to you if you want that to happen is to start bugging us about it two month prior :)"

Side note: Now you know it, boys and girls, if you want something start annoying Totem with a two months anticipation period.

So, listening to Rex's advice, bigmandingo27 started bugging again with the thread "New Sexy Witch Halloween Animation In HD Let's Get The Word Out!!!!", on August 09, 2008.

On September 11, 2008. Rex announced two things that pleased a lot of people back then: That Aria Giovanni would be doing new shows on September 19, and that she would be the 2008 Halloween witch. He also asked for costume suggestions, as can be seen in his thread: "Aria Giovanni & Halloween".

Seems to me that they ended up buying only a hat and a witch cape, though, since the rest of the outfit looks like something unrelated. But the achieved effect is good.

The first two pictures are from previous VG2 witches, might be more witches or halloween outfits, i didn't search extensively. Maybe the Divine's pumpkin card is one of those. You tell.

The third picture is the one that Rex posted when announcing the Aria's comeback. The fourth is one of the many users suggestions for outfits and the fifth the lovely witch we all know.

The sixth picture depicts the 2009 halloween witch, lol.

The second tale is about a "religious experience".

well, not quite so, but is a weird tale whatsoever.

Despite the fact, to me, anyway, that kinky nun outfits are among the most naughty and hot you could see, there's none in VG and it probably never will.

Why?

The history was told by Rex himself on September 08, 2008:

"Ok, long story short, we bought a nun uniform a few months ago and filmed a girl in it. Shooting last for two days, we usually do 3 outfits per day. When the hard drives with all the videos came back to the studio to be transfered on our servers at the office, there was no traces of that nun outfit on them at all. That can happen (never did before tho), maybe a wrong operation and they ended up not being copied or being deleted by accident. So we decide to re-film the same outfit the next day, which we did. Came back to the studio that night and this time the whole disk was not readable. We never get the images from that day and I'm not supersticious but I took that as a sign."

Spooky...

The picture depicts Denisa K. with a nun's coif, so it's only reasonable to say that it's the cursed outfit of the history.
