CristinaScabbia, This is what I have done, for all three of the virtual 1 - 3 including istripper. I copy all of them onto a different hard drive. Right now I have 1 harddrive for virtualgirl 1 & virtual girl 2, along with the photos & videos. 2 harddrives for istripper. Every week I copy that weeks shows, which ever harddrive that needs them. I don't have any VR shows, but I don't see why they couldn't be copyed to another harddrive too. If you are using Windows 10, go to documents & click view, you will want find hidden items. That will let you copy the data files. Your models file will be wherever you set them up, when you installed the softwear.

on May 2nd they will be removed.

So you can download them, or change resolution, till the End of May 1st.

If you are not sure about changing resolution.
Make a full Back up of the Models folder for each Card.
Then attempt to change the resolution, if it fails, you can recover from your backup you made.

All of her cards are available in
720p
1080p
3K

they are NOT available in 4K

What if I only support 720p now, but in the future I get a better system and want them in 1080p or 3K?
Then what do I do?

You can Download in 720p
Make a Backup and label it as 720p

Then Download in 1080p
Make a new Backup and Label it as 1080p

Then Download in 3K
and make a new Backup and Label it 3K

This way, if your system only supports 720p Now,
But you Upgrade later
You can restore the cards from one of the Higher Resolution backups.

You own all six of Alba's cards and if they are downloaded, then they are still there and will not be lost.
You can continue to play Alba's cards for as long as you want.
Just never delete the cards (or even the computer files for the cards), or update the cards.
Never update any removed cards.
Updating a card causes all files to be lost and replaced with *.dlmcdf files, then each one is replaced with the real file.
Many of the removed cards have no files on the server so nothing to download or update.

These requests to remove all iStripper material from women who decide to retire from the business are a bit ridiculous. Does Alba imagine for one second that she'll be able to remove all her porn videos from the Internet? That's a joke. So we'll clearly be able to easily retrieve any of those porn videos of hers, FOR FREE, but none of her soft iStripper shows, WHICH WE PAID FOR... I wish her the best for her future, but that's not serious and more than a little unfair to us.

As has already been stated in this thread several times (and in the corresponding threads for each of the other removed cards) you should get a refund if you ask for it. If you don't ask for it then you can continue to play the cards as long as you still have the files. You have not lost the card, only the ability to "refresh" it (i.e. to download a new copy or to update it).

Owner COULD also be not informed earlier about this EVENT, so that there would have been at least 4-6 Weeks in order to secure your Shows etc....

This was discused extensively the last time a model's cards were removed. The general opinion was that if it was done then it would raise the visibility of the model - which is exactly the opposite of the reduced exposure that she is attempting to obtain.

It has to do with the April Pre-Sale bug.
When Members Purchased the Pre-Sale, the Bug gave them Rights to All of the cards at once.
to correct this issue,
any card with the No Longer Available BIT set, can no longer be seen as part of the Collection.
The Rights to play them has temporarily been removed.
for the April cards, the rights are put back when that card is properly released.
But for the Others, the Team doesn't want to do them One by One for each Member..

After the April Event is Over, it will be corrected.
the Team will do a Global rights reset, and all Members will have them back.

Just Don't try to do anything to the files.
it should be fixed early in May.

This would also be a good time to download her picture sets & videos.....as they will probably be removed from the server too.

I owned 20 removed cards before this Alba da Silva event. Just copied her 6 cards to my backup folder. However, I just discoverd that the previous 20 cards can not be found in the latest version of iStripper, 1.2.379 on my Mac. All 20 cards are present in both my data and models folders, but when I search by card number they do not appear. I have never requested a refund and I don't plan to. I don't think I've ever tried to update those cards, but I can't be sure. Is there anything I can do? All necessary data is present in both the data and models folders and I have duplicates in my backup folders.

First a fire some years ago, now a flooding - hope that's the end of it :)

Is it just me I wonder? All this chat about one model and her shows being removed.
Before today Alba Da Silva, how many of us even remembered her?

I guess it's the chance of this happening to much more popular models that has upset so many.
It will happen more often as more models move on with their lives and also want to forget about their adult entertainment work.

So it's really up to each of us to keep our own back ups of the ones we really value. Not try and blame the model or Totem for what is being done.

There are still over 800 other models to enjoy. It's not like the end of the world.

If you have a lower resolution like 720p or 1080p, and want to upgrade to 3k before the cards are taken off, DON'T!

You will have Accidently deleated the files for their show, and won't be able to get them back.

Happened to me, had one of the lost taken off card had a upgrade in resolution, downloaded and deleated the data.

I didn't want to make that card collection disappear, I liked her too...

P.S.

Apparently, the model who deleated her cards off VGHD/Istripper that I accidently deleated, wound up going back to her former job which was modeling.

It may happen to Alba da Silva too, Who knows...

If you still have the Animation Files, and you can still play the card.
There would be no Case to get a refund, just because you want one.

It would be similar to
I played the Friday Event and won 10 cards I don't want, can I get refunded?

If you lost the animation files and can no Longer play the card.
Then the Team might decide differently.

Normally your purchase history is used to determine the credits spent for the card
and that is what you would be refunded.

If you Won the cards in an Event.
then the Team would have to decide how to handle that.

in Fact, I Select the cards, and click on the EYE icon to move them to the Hidden Cards Group.
That way, I never Accidentally Group Select them, if I'm Updating or Changing resolution.
