I don't think there are free spins.

If you place a "max bet" then one of the thinks you can "win" is free; as in free cards.

If you play the game, the top right of the screen shows the percent discount available for the bet you are making. For a one credit bet, you can purchase the cards displayed at 15% to 55% (which ever percent shows up) for example.
If you make the maximum bet of 10 credits, the discount includes, at the top end of the discount, Free (35% to free) This means you have won the cards on display for free. Not just any card, but the cards on the display of the slot machine.

I believe that you must have at least 1 credit in your account, to Unlock the event.
If you Have a Zero Credit Balance, the Event will not start.

The 13 Free Spin-Credits are displayed at the Bottom of the Slot machine.

You can Spin the Slot machine, but it will display an Error.

Now I have some credits, and when I spin, it reduces the Free Spin Credits.

But if you have Credits in your Account Balance,
then you can Play the 13 free credit spins..

I don't play games. But since I had 13 free credits to try and no cards to win, since I have all the regular cards, I played them to win a few credits.

So I did 13 trials at 1 free credit, and won 9 credits. (1 win of 5 credits and 4 wins of 1 credit). 😊
