Is my Graphics cartd good enough for VR ?You should try the regular non vr shows in VR also using something like virtual desktop. It is a great experience seeing the regular shows at life size.
I want to buy a HTC Vive or Occulus for the VR content here. My graphic card is 'GTX 980 Ti' but after a lot of googling I still dont know if it is good enough to use a VR headset... is it better than a '1060' ? which seems the minimum. Thanks
The only thing with Quest 2 is realize you are buying in to a locked down Facebook Ecosystem that they could turn off access to Steam if they chose to.Yeah, it's too bad they did that. I think Quest 2 sales would ***** if they shut off Steam, so that might not be a wise choice for them. Maybe the antitrust lawsuit against Facebook will change that.
Quest 2 is not in the same tier of headset quality as the G2 Reverb so there is a reason why it costs more. That's true, but it doesn't include that Quest 2 can be used wired or wireless. Once people experience wireless, it's hard to go back to wired. Wireless also means it can be used anywhere. PC VR wireless at 90 hz can be done today using Virtual Desktop.
Quest 2 seems to be the headset of choice right now with many VR YouTubers
Once people experience wireless, it's hard to go back to wired.
Maybe the antitrust lawsuit against Facebook will change that.
