I compared 4k show to 1k show, heres the result:
Basically they are both exactly the same normally, but if you set settings to dont zoom over 100% of a show's original size, the 4k show allows you to have it bigger/zoom it in more and keep the quality, than 1080p. So for a 1080p monitor if you have the girls small there is no difference, but if you want a bigger image with same quality then using 4k is better.

I don't know if this made much sense but I hope you understand what I'm saying

@elfine thanks for the reply, I tested myself too and I'm getting a similar result. 4k also allows you to zoom in the show more / increase the size of the show without losing any quality.

For storage space I got plenty :P

just some thoughts,

It is unclear whether the 20% will come off discounts that are already in place. Like many i am a triple diamond member and would like to know if this is on top of what i have now.

Secondly, regarding these special cards. Something needs to be done as I think you are losing long time customers over it. This is almost a community and as such the ones that have contributed alot over the years (triple diamond) should have access to these cards. Whether it be at a different rate, free, what ever but I think of all of what i read I see this as an easy fix. For the 2 cards I am after i would easily pay 20% more for them. I like the idea but I like the idea of valued customers being shown some love.

@marc999 Whether you benefit from buying Premium membership depends really on the number of cards you expect to buy during your membership year and how much value you give to 4K resolution, 20% discount on also new VR shows, one time gift of Joker card, and better response from customer support, as promised.

Roughly, if you expect to buy around 215 cards out of 365 released during your membership year, you cancel out your $59 / year fee with the extra 20% discount earned and you're even (= 4K resolution and other benefits become free bonus, if you will). If you expect to buy less cards, and/or don't value 4K resolution or that Joker card etc. as any kind of worthwile upgrade, then you might want to stick with regular membership.

That's true. Luckily my PC is good enough to handle these easily, but I am craving for that 4K monitor now :). My 1080p monitor works perfectly and I can't really justify buying a new 4K one just for iStripper. It would seem such a waste (but I am secretly kind of hoping this old monitor dies down soon so I can go shopping with good conscience 😋 )

Same, I soo want a 4k monitor now, and a VR headset. But I love my current monitor so much. I might get a VR headset at some point.

If I have a 1080p monitor, will 4k increase graphics of the show or will it be the exact same as 1080p? Cause I know some 4k things will be resized to fit 1080p and that increases the amount of pixels and it makes it look better. I'm wondering if the 4k shows work that way or if they r basically just same as 1080p unless I have a 4k monitor.

As a 3K on 1080p former user, I can only imagine 4K clarity on 1080p. 4K looks like realtime video on my 1440p 144hz 27" monitor. Just converted all 125 cards I have to 4K. Good time to be a member...😁

So, I have a strange monitor resolution (3840 x 2100 16:10 Ultra wide). I usually use 3K as my monitor is over the 1080 height but even when I had a 1080 monitor there was a definite increase in resolution using 3K. There is a slight increase in resolution with 4K too, not as massive but noticable to me during actual movement.
Real world test results - below are 3 images of the new Scyley Jam show at 4K, 3K and 1080. Itried to screen shot her at the same time for comparison. The resolution is the name of the image if you download or it is in the screneshot on the left.

Thanks, but a picture doesn't tell me much. I'll need to see it in motion. I really don't think asking for a preview in 4k...one that "expires" or something like that...is asking too much. I'd pay a few credits...

Or better yet...let us buy one show in 4K at a premium. Totem makes more money, and sells more subscriptions.

Answered by Celine in this thread....you get to keep any shows downloaded in 4k after sub expires.

But this is incorrect - the discounts do not add, you have to multiply as follows

The proper evaluation is (1.0-0.45)*(1.0-0.2) => 0.44 which is a 56% discount, not 65%

They will not Automatically be Upgraded.

You will have to Manually Update the Previous Crystal Clear + cards.
As far as I know, ALL of the Crystal Clear + cards ( Past, Current, and new ones ) will have a 4K version.

In numbers there are 131 available. I have only downlaoded the latest Scyley Jam in 4K so far. Heres is what I get when I selesct all Crystal Clear + cards and hit the download button

If you become Premium today:

• all the shows that you already own + all the shows that you purchse for 1 year, will be downloadable in 4K.

When you stop to be premium (in 1 year), you will still be able to download and watch all the shows purchased while you were Premium. But of course, you won't be able to download the 4K resolution for the upcoming shows.

I hope I'm clear enough :)

The team only speaks about the download. If you get 4k cards, you will watch them in 4k for ever, even if you aren't Premium anymore after downloading them.

@kaiju I credit my account a couple of days ago, it doesn't make sense to have another paying for 4K, at least let's try it for one week free?
