I have a question, you find it embarrassing for me to say hello and goodbye ?
It is true that this may seem absurd, but for me it is a mark of respect.

Yes, it's a mark of respect but come on the forum just for say "hello and goodbye" is completly stupid.
But it's just my advice...

Agreed. Respect pushed to its limit becomes obsequiousness and 1984-style submission. And a couple thousand posts just to say hello and goodbye looks like spam.

then you propose to several user to not write because is want say only hello or bye ? and go work or sleep ?

@Alerte. I would never tell another user what to post or not, as long as it remain inside the parameters of the site about courtesy.

But, since you asked, i'll give you my very personal opinion.

We have a front page in the forum that drops posts out of sight everytime a new post is made. Sometimes the "hellos and goodbyes", though courteous, bump out from the spotlight topics with some sort of content or news. I had to disable the french language to avoid the "hellos and goodbyes" also posted in french and regain some view in the front page. This is a far as it goes with me regarding your question, but i won't call it an annoyance.

Maybe sometime latter Totem could put those pretty little green lights near the usernames, that indicate that an user is connected or not.

At the end, i have no real problem with the salutes. There's no *****. (;

I have again several test for my new script about move your VGHD collection.

i made in 4 step

1) you choose the new folder where copy VGHD
2) you copy your collection in the new folder
3) you erase the source if you need
4) you quit !!!!!

sorry i not made one expert mode for the moment, but i think about, the problem is not very easy to use in a script langage, is better if i made the program in C++, i look for lurn the base of this langage.

ho i place a little expert mode in the new script, then you place the total name with all folder you want, for the folder Data and separately for the folder Models !!!! tomorrow a make again several test and i think is ready for monday.

for the Simple mode, you just need to creat one folder. and the script made the next.
