This is an example of a decent review of a card. Actual objective things that happened in the card....and I bought a card I otherwise would not have bought. From totem's point of view that is the point of reviews. So thank you.

@orclover - I agree that the example you posted was one of a good review and I would like to see more of them.

However, for me only the last two lines are objective. Even then the last line is very subjective in what the reviewer has chosen to be objective about, shoes staying on and clips starting with full nudity - things that I personaly find irrelevant (shoes) or are negative aspects of a performance (I am much more interrested in the number of clips that start fully clothed because I prefer striptease to nude dancing).

I would need to see several such reviews for a card before I felt any confidence that their subjective parts had any validity, or, alternatively, have seen several reviews by the same person so that I had some Idea of whether his views coincided with mine.

I have said before that I think it would be a good idea if Totem automatically generated a summary of each card along the lines of the penultimate line of the review. This is all information that is already present in each card's xml file but until you purchase the card you can not see it.

Well a card is about the same price as a can of coke so I am not so sure that an in depth review is really something I would need to see before making the transaction. Young girl, going to get naked on my desktop for under a $1.50, I'm sold 😄

1. Pole skills are not subjective any more than futbol skills are..people are either skilled around the pole or not.
2. Smiling is objective
3. Pace and energy are objective
4. Slapping butt is objective
5. No special tricks is objective-ish
6. Slapping butt, ass shaking are objective
7. and of course the number and type of clips is objective.

For example what counts as "ass shaking" as opposed to simple wriggling. Even judgements of "smiling" are subjective - is a particular smile perceived as a genuine expression of pleasure or is as an artificial attempt to do so.

I still want to write a contribute to the Topic of objective comments and information about the cards, that you (orclover) opened.
I read everything in that discussion with most interest and it is an important issue, especially for newbie's who have to pay a high price for the shows.

@zzmaskers - I hope that you are not misinterpreting my comments. I do appreciate reviews such as the one you posted. The fact that I regard most of it as subjective was not meant to be a negative reaction. I think a good review has to be subjective because the most important things in any review are how much the reviewer enjoyed the performance and what he or she thought were the good and poor aspects of the show. A purely objective review would be very boring being little more than a list of various statistics and would be the same whoever wrote it.

When a comment is just a summary, then it's boring. One must be inspired.
There was a reporter in The Netherlands many years ago who did report for the radio the Tour de France and footballmatches. His name was Theo Koomen, but the public made of it Klara (name of a female) Komen (=cumming). He could be very, very enthousiastic with high, higher and highest voice reporting. We liked that!

When there is an enthousiatic and objective review of a book or whatever, then I'm going to buy it.

I know you are arguing for the sake of it but come on....

ALL reviews are SUBJECTIVE based on the reviewer's preferences. There's NO way around it.

Eg: "She shakes her ass a lot." Now that could be interpreted as an objective observation. It also could mean that the reviewer noticed this to an extent that they mentioned it in their review. Does that mean the reviewer likes or dislikes this behaviour? We don't know unless they tell us.

What it does tell us is that the reviewer noticed this. Therefore, their reaction was to comment on the action.

So... what it does tell us is that the reviewer has strongish feelings, one way or the other. He/she may not be honest with their feelings but it tells us they were thinking about it and maybe trying to influence people, even tho it might be vague.

Chances are that when there are comments of this sort, the reviewer was in support of the action, or why mention it at all?

Hope that makes sense to a few people.

I also wanted to chime in and thank @zzmaskers for the in-depth reviews. They definitely helped a lot both in passing and buying on certain shows. Real asset to the community.

I always look at:

• the outfit (less subjective)
• the skills, the personality and the charisma of a model.

The models with the best shows, are not always the one's with the highest ratings and the highest sales.

• I like to do this (feels like good and satisfying "work"; I'm retired, so I have plenty of time for this.)
• to give information to the customers
• to give feedback to the @productionteam
• to give something back to the model, who does this all for us.

I don't buy shows of models, which are not my type, so that I never have to write negative comments.

I agree with @orclover, @zzmaskers writes the best reviews and generally does a lot of good posts in the forum, I am thankful for his time spent.

I do not have the same taste as @zz , but I do think he has good taste and respect that. I like my girls a little more voluptuous than zz, but I always look for his reviews before I buy a card (except for those instant buys, like Belka and Nicci 😄).

I always read the comments of other people, also of the shows I don't buy. I want to know and understand why and for what reasons they like a model and show. I have learned that what I like, is not what everybody likes. And to accept that your taste is not the taste of your "neighbour" is not easy, but that's in all parts of life. Some like impressionist painters, others the old Dutch masters or the expressionist painters or the abstract or conceptional art. With music just the same.

My greatets respect for the @iStripperteam, who must find the equilibrium between all tastes, so that every taste can recognize it self in the choosen models.

This is a very difficult question, because like I said before: tastes are very personal. Choose for the outfits you like and watch the previews!
I give you a top 15 not of shows, but of models. The order is at random. I have chosen only models with cards in 3K resolution (although I use myself 1080). I must always feel sympathy for a model!
Here we go:
1. Sabrisse (very playful, can wear any outfit, always good)
2. Sapphira A (great, swift dancer, slim body)
3. Hilary C (playful, very beautiful, ballet style of moving and practised with the pole before her Take 2)
4. Valeria (ballet style, artistic gymnastics, very flexible)
5. Eva Sugar (a very personal favorite; great dancer, in particular her last cards. I'm a fan of her style, but not everybody like's that)
6. Angelika Grays (probably the most complete performer; super in Standing clips - different dance styles; super at the Pole and great in xxx-solo; great personality).
7. Kristina (great dancer in a ballet style, one of the best)
8. Cara Mell (great dancer, great personality)
9. Genevieve Gandi (soft and friendly and very surprising at the Pole).
10. Kalisy (beautiful, playful and funny - several great outfits)
11. Izzy (blond beauty, moves very well, feel a lot of sympathy for her)
12. Stella Flex (together with Angelika Grays the most complete performer and the best on the Pole in the last years)
13. Adel Morel (skinny and funny - I like her very much)
14. Maria Rubio (not a real dancer, but for me one of the most beautiful of all)
15. Alice Wonder (the skinny mannequine type- I find her beautiful and she fasinates me)
