The new crop of girls are not experienced dancers overall, and little can be gleaned from previews other than they do not have experience dancing. I therefore look to the reviews to reveal if there is any reason to buy the cards. The reviews are not enlightening at all terms of what the card offers ...often using subjective wording like "the show is sublime", and other wording that doesn't express what is actually contained in the card. Often the more direct and objective information is negative, "she does not do any moves around the pole", "she does not take off her shoes", "she only does side views" , and this discourages sales. It may be that the cards are just repetitive and have little going on other than beautiful woman posing for 45 minutes, and I just imagine that is the case when the reviews are non-descriptive. If I was totem I would make sure and hire girls that can actually perform and then make sure that your customers know they can perform. I don't know how sales are going, and the girls may be cheap right now, but it seems the overall performance quality has dropped, and the lack of of good reviews and info means people like me will not be spending.

I understand your concern but try to be more realistic...I mean you can't make everyone "happy" all the time right??? That's all I wanted to say...sorry if you don't like it :P

The girls have ALWAYS been Models..........NOT necessarily professional dancers
There's nothing new about that as far as the latest "Crop Of Girls"

Good Reviews have always been done by members who invest the time and their money to purchase all the cards, share their thoughts and do a thorough review
Card Comments should not be considered Reviews

Yeah it's hit or miss in the "professional dancing" department...though the girls/models are still very much appreciated regardless...

Whatever floats ur boat right? I mean what is one person's trash is another person's treasure and let me just say...there be lots of it! :)

a good review can only contain statistic infos like 2 clips with full outfit, 2 clip naked feet ... and so on.
but even just a list of pros and cons could be different for diffent people.

Impressions, ratings, thoughts are just a matter of taste. I prefer this girl, you dont. and so on. Some have their own taste, some want to know what others think - but that's not a good review - it's only the impression and taste of another one.
Want you count her steps?
Who want to judge dance skills? This is not a Tv-show for B-list celebrities.

some models know how to dance, some not. some are playful and entertaining, some are not. nothing to judge - this is not a competition.

so for me there is no lack of reviews

What he said ^

Even when some people take their time to post a detailed review of a card, no matter how objective they think they are, it's still a personal opinion based on their tastes.

For me, the only way I pre-judge a model's card is by watching the previews. It doesn't always tell me everything I need to know but gives me a basic idea of whether or not I might like her.

This is on Totem to present 2 or 3 clips that should best represent the model's attractiveness for purchase. I occasionally use the reviews to re-inforce a possible buying decision but still, if I like the girl, I'll buy anyway :)

I disagree completely. A person's movement can be described objectively. Think of it as just more detailed tags.

"Nasita did front facing splits and winked. " That is objective and informative, and I would buy that card if Nasita did something like that.

"Nasita did similar swaying movements, no vertical movement, all standing clips" That is objective and meaningful input.

Totem is attempting to branch out their product to more than just collectors, and believe it or not, if they do, the quality of the product will improve. All those that responded to this thread are willing to spend thousands to fill a collection with cards they may only watch once, I imagine new customers will be more selective and looking for a few characteristics in a card. Totem IS losing money, that is my original thesis, all of the other responses just proved the point that totem has no viable review system, and new customers won't have a clue what the hell they are spending money on, and in a world where free porn is one click away. One distinct motion or look can sell a card, demos do not often contain these moments, a good review should...in an objective manner.

Maybe I'm not quite following what your point is

Are you saying you think Totem should do their own reviews ?

Are you saying there needs to more detail to the card descriptions ?

@orclover have a look at SpacePhantom's unpaid Virtuagirls review work http://www.v-girls.co.uk
Unfortunately my good friend concluded updating this with the change from VGHD to iStripper.
Maybe you could do something similar to that with the iStripper girls.

Space Phantom is a perfect example of a good reviewer that made totem a ton of money with pretty objective and consistent reviews. My tastes were different than his but I still found his reviews very useful. Before I found phantoms reviews I had 8 cards, after I finish reading through his site, I had 1200. I stilll can't believe how many people are ***** about a service that would make istripper a much stronger product, it would provide some accountibilty to the company outside of bankruptcy, and would give more information to new buyers, and those nervous about spending money on cards. I wouldn't want to do reviews because I don't want to buy all the cards, and only have about 30% of those available, but there are plenty of triple diamonds who would do short and objective reviews and they should recieve the cards for free. Like I said in the first post, Totem may be nervous about the skill level of their girls, and have decided that harsh or honest reviews might put pressure on them to pay more for better performers. It is what it is, but more information about a service never ***** a customer, seems strange that customers are resistant to this.

So reviews should be called opinions? Uhhh okay but what about comments? Should those be called reviewing opinions? LOL

I disagree with "this is not a competition"...I mean if you have that kind of attitude...how can you ever improve??? Just saiyan...
