I still got the same issue with the carousel too! The new demo of Lola Reeve was gone right after I downloaded it. I never had any chance to watch it. The one from Ava Courcelles was gone too after half an hour... :-(

I still have the problem of no new cards appearing on the carousel. Like many others I will not buy a card without seeing the demo. I hope this bug gets fixed soon.

@gumumawi: I just tried this after reading your post. Lo and behold, ALL the new deskbabes cards appeared on my carousel!

This may sound silly but if you look at the top left of your carousel, there is a FILTER button. This allows you to select only DB or only VG or both to be added to the carousel. If you already know about this, I apologise and the problem is elsewhere. Then it's possible that with a software upgrade, this is reset to only VG? I dunno. But it just worked for me :)

I've seen this mentioned recently and was afraid to post it myself before as it seems to be a 'Best kept secret.' BUT, as there is no discount on the carousel, I don't see a problem any more :)

If you don't like what you see on your carousel, quit VG completely (so you don't see the 'V' in your systray) then go into:

>Your Username, AppData, Local, vghd, Data. Then hit the END key and look for Demos.Lst (Correction: Just found in latest beta that it's just called Demos now.) You can safely delete this file. Then restart VG and Voila! Your carousel will re-populate. I can't guarantee whether new girls will appear right away or not but each time I've done this just after new cards were released, I got the girls on my carousel :)

Edit. A couple of hours later: When I learned of this trick, it just went backwards in time to the beginning of VGHD. NOW it appears to be random. The last 3 times I did this, I'm getting all the lesser quality cards from past and present mixed in. If this was designed to do this deliberately to try and sell older, crap cards, well then, you should forget this idea guys. But I really don't understand why Totem would try to push older crap on us when there are much better cards that guys WANT to buy! Oh well, time for bed:)

I didn't come up with this idea, guys. I forget where I first read it but it did work fine until now :(

So.... I guess we are back to putting pressure on the Team to let us add whatever demos at will to the carousel! I can only see a benefit for Totem to do this :)

It seems to be the best one so far actually.

As the demo tab has lost its meaning as a discount tool, some new futures should be added, indeed, otherwise, what's its point, if you can't see even the latest cards in time.

Manipulating the demos.lst should be OK now, cause it won't give you any benefit anymore. Previously it was called a "bypassing the demo carousel" and wasn't quite tolerated, because the number of the new demos (1 credit discount) was limited per day.

Just wondering if it is possible to at least put a filter for the new cards in the Demos section. I.e. VG & DB Interactive so there is no problem seeing the New demos? Currently can only see one new demo at one time and if I don't like this new card; another does not appear until I have made a purchase? The site must be loosing a lot of sales due to this flaw in the software? Hope they can fix it soon.

So, just to confirm, this still isn't working? I still haven't even seen a full-size demo of the new generation of cards. I don't want to buy without seeing a real preview, but apparently I don't get to see one? Is a fix for this planned?

I've been lucky perhaps because I've been patient. The two newest DB cards both appeared on my carrousel. After seeing their demos, I decided not to buy those cards. I'm mostly in to VG not DB and those cards just weren't what I like. I've seen three VG cards on my carrousel. I bought two, but the third disappeared before I could buy it so I bought that one from the store.

The carrousel needs to be fixed and then it needs to be improved. See my earlier posts in this thread.

OK, after deleting the demos file I now get to see the new cards, for some reason. Would still be nice to know I would get to see them before I buy during the first seven day discount period - the tiny flash previews provide basically no information, while the full size previews are a fantastic sales tool.

Ok Totem, the last days bug still seems to be there. the last demo i just saw remained on my carousel a whole big 15 seconds. 15 seconds! rex your last post on this was 8 days ago so how is it progressing? we can't buy girls if we can't see them or even preview them! your already doing beta test for version 50 and don't even have the bugs worked out here yet in 48. you guys affiliate with Microsoft recently or something? I'm sorry to *****, but we the users are paying for this product. which means we are paying you to take care of these issues. my husband has been a user for many years and i finally bought the product when our taste in girls became divergent, but to be honest, there were earlier versions that worked much better, and the rest is just window dressing. that and lack of bringing in big bust models and you will soon be losing a couple of paying users. i understand its a complicated program and all, but it only got complicated when all the eye candy and program bloat was added. before that it was an awesome product. just saying how i feel Totem.

I understand how a lot of people feel here. Most of us were quite happy with the way the software worked in 1.1.0.84 and then changes started to affect the functionality. Each change, for a while, seemed to compound the problems. Then we were all told about this new software with amazing clarity in 3K and new functions. We all waited with baited breath to see what it could do. So far, most of it does as was advertised but there are still issues to iron out to make it as good as the old .84 was.

PATIENCE, guys! None of us are perfect and I'm pretty sure the Team are working hard to make this work as they originally envisioned. We all need to report any bugs we find to help the guys fix them. I know from experience, as others have said that different home set-ups will not all play the same way. This is why betas are released, to find the potential problems.

So, all I'm observing here is that we should continue to report any issues we have and let the Team try to fix them.

Threatening to not buy any more until the Team fixes the issues doesn't really help anyone, imho. The latest 3K cards are pretty damned cool to me! I bought 4 of them so far. So again, please have patience and let the Team do their job. They'll get there! :)

totally agree! Its how its supposed to be done. That will improve sales Totem, no doubt.

for example I am now waiting for about 10 cards to buy them (the ones i am kinda sure to buy and the ones i remember). Probably even more, but i will not do anything until they appear on my carousel .. I guess its not just me ...

P.S. since they are downloaded through P2P you shouldnt have problems with your servers even with a lot of downloads ..

I've been using the latest .52 version since it was released. I got home from work today and my carousel was full of old stuff so I did the usual and deleted the demos file and guess what? I have a load of old stuff again BUT... also the latest 2 VG 3K cards too! Yes they both have the 'Last Days' tag but 2 1/2 hours later, they are still there on my carousel :) I just checked. So... If this is a 'Bug,' it appears to be a random one. Curiouser and curiouser...

You can still preview the new cards by left clicking the card. You can do this to help making up your mind if you want the new card or not. This is not in way a comment to tell you should buy the new cards.

they have been in the demo phase for 3 days now, or it may depend on your collection size that judges the time they last.

Please Totem Team in the New update could you guys try to keep the way the older software worked in 1.1.0.84 the Slow Mo, Pause,and the large size to go up to 180 in size.(Excellent Feature please keep)

@rwsex: I too had issues when they changed the software after .84 The Team have already said that slo-mo is in the works sometime soon. Pause is already back in your options. Go into your advanced settings on the GUI and you can select your mouse click options to change to pause. Myself, I use it on left click as it suits my purposes for screencaps :) You can set it to what you want for your purposes :) I would also like a fast-forward option but haven't heard anything about that yet :(

Regarding the old .84 bit about scaling to 180%. This has been fixed for most people. Depending on your screen resolution, in fullsize desktop mode, you can set the clips to play as big or small as you like. They now go to 110% of your screensize. Many threads have discussed this recently but the software has changed so that you can set your largest 110% to fill a high resolution screen. My own standard 1080P TV is also my monitor. I have the scaling at 98% with the, 'Don't exceed 100% of source clips' checkbox UN-checked! I haven't found a problem so far with this setting :) 720P and 1080P cards are obviously different sizes but they seem to work pretty well for me in this new software :)

This is all new to all of us so may take a little experimentation to get it just right.

Just did a reset off that "demo" file, and still all older cards that I didn't get then, and won't be getting now. Come on VgHD, fix this already. It's starting to piss me off now.

In my software, the demos of the new shows do appear in my carousel, but only for a very short time period, approximately half an hour, something like that. I have to be really lucky to watch them...
