What are Fullscreen Scenes?

Hello there,

I haven't used Virtuagirls in a while, I noticed the new update with multiple girls and had already been thinking about re-installing it anyway and that news sealed the deal. I installed the latest version a few hours ago and noticed that there is no longer the "classic" full screen mode, but instead a new option "Scenes". My issue is that it's empty and because of this I can't use VG as a screensaver or enjoy my ladies in full screen. There's no information in the FAQ about what the scenes are. I saw a post about fixing the empty scenes by "repointing" VGHD to the models folder but mine is "pointed" correctly. The post wasn't very helpful for me.

It's aggravating that there isn't more info about what this feature is and how to use it. I would like to be able to use full screen and screensaver and that wasn't an issue the last time I had VG. What am I doing wrong why are there no scenes already? If a mod reads this you really need to have some info in the FAQ about the full screen scenes. If anyone can give me some info about scenes and what I need to do to enjoy them it would be much appreciated.

If you wait a day or so, you will see in advanced settings the player downloading an entry called 'scenes'. It took a day or so for me to get the update. In your fullscreen tab, you will see it as 'Paris Penthouse Club'.

Thanks for the info EverthangForever.

I had found some scenes online and used a batch file that was included to install them. It installed them to 'D:/users/*username*/AppData/Local/VGHD/Data/Scenes/*name-of-scene*' I restarted VGHD but still have an empty scenes list. I guess I will just have to wait for the scenes to DL on their own.

Looking further into the FAQ it seems VERY out of date. It references the old full screen/screensaver stuff that I'm used to. Seems they really need to update that which would save a lot of headaches I'm sure.

Try putting them here instead:

...vghd~models~data~scenes

Keep in mind, the player only looks 2 folders deep under ../scenes for xxx.scn files ;)

There is a great members share thread at
http://www.virtuagirl.com/forumPost.php?foId=3&ftId=27449
iStripper에 관한 모든 것 / Discussions for Scenes for Version 1.2.X Fullscreen Mode here
I decided its time to start a thread for customized scenes like we had for customized skins. I am not sure if the artwork forum section is the right place so if the Mods think this should go into anot...
and I just noticed one of our expert members has posted his new scenes there. Have lots of fun ;)

Thanks again! It finally DL'ed the scenes and sure enough they are where you suggested to place the ones I DL'ed. Yay! Just need to get me some 3k cards A.S.A.P. because they look amazing when in full screen where as all my 720p ones look pixelated if they are in the center/up close.

Well, EverthangForever might be the right person to answer, but as the answer to your question has been given already .. check the link, which he posted above! - that's the right place to start .. also to find instructions how to install these user created scenes, and you might find some useful tips how to create your own ones.

I bet these scenes you can see are of his own creation.

Hello, I was referring to @Number6 new scenes actually, which I love.. @MrBeeKeeper is correct, the scenes in that thread setup by @Wyldanimal @Starryk etc. are where to look for more. Welcome Govik btw ;)

@EverthangForever

You are far too kind, especially considering it was your Kowloon Lights and WyldAnimals' Shades that finally inspired me to look at doing my own scenes (although I still haven't got my head around creating shaders). _____________________________________________________________________________

Just to add to @EverthangForever's posts.

If you want to create your own scenes you may also want to spend some time looking at this thread.

This has a lot of discussions, tips and several excellent tutorials. I spent hours and hours with this thread open whilst doing my scenes.

A few things to note.

Firstly, when scenes are installed they appear in the Full Screen List on the Full Screen Tab in Settings. What isn't obvious is that some of scenes can be expanded. You need to double click on the main scene name. If you want disable certain scenes in the list without disabling them all just clear the checkbox next to the scene you want to disable.

Secondly some scenes are set up to only display certain types of clips (e.g. only cage clips or only swing clips or only pole clips). If you do not have cards with those types of clips then you will get an error advising that clips are not available. This will be even more apparent if you use the new "wheel" to send a particular model into "Full Screen".

Thirdly, some of the member created scenes contain multiple models (10 or possibly even more). I'm not sure who holds the record at the moment but you will need a fairly high end PC to display some of those scenes.

I am also disappointed that Totem haven't publicised this facility more. I am fairly certain that there would be a lot more members interested in this if they knew they could modify or create scenes to suit themselves.
