What resolution are your cards downloaded in?

Agree it is unfortunate...
I use an older 50 inche plasma monitor which is 1360 x 768
I always download the highest resolution available of cards up to 3K
My partner confirms I am having no stutter with my rig under this setup

Everything is ok for me, except the following scenes which have little jerks in the girls movement.

FG 596
Render Latency 132-146 ms
GPU usage 100%.

FG 599
Render Latency 71-79 ms
GPU use 100%.

I also noticed that there is a left-right inversion of the girls' image in the FG 595 scene, as the iStripper "S" was inverted on the water bucket during a window scene.

I don't know if it is the same in the other scenes?

J'ai aussi remarqué qu'il y a une inversion gauche droite de l'image des filles dans la scène FG 595, car le "S" d'iStripper était inversé sur la chaudière d'eau lors d'une scène de vitre.

Je ne sais pas s'il en est de même dans les autres scènes ?

  • FG595 a eu une échelle: -1.0, 1.0 ajoutés pour inverser le modèle gauche-droite
  • FG596 & FG599 utilisent maintenant un quad au lieu de la texture de montage Beige01.png

  • FG595 has had scale: -1.0, 1.0 parameters added to re-invert the model left-right
  • FG596 & FG599 now use a quad instead of the mounting texture Beige01.png

Out of curiosity @Socialhazard, are there any scenes that use 100% of your graphics card? And if so, do they work well on your PC?

Umm... Let me do a quick run through. No scenes used 100% GPU.

FG611 was as high as 85% GPU, all other were much less. All cards played were 1k. (I currently only have one 3k card.)

Edit:

As with my old NVIDIA, even 100% GPU usage does not always or even usually produce stutter in the model or scene. 😕 Also, I keep preview clips which may cause more of a problem being short and going on to load next clip can slow things down sometimes.

Thanks for the information @Socialhazard. I too have had a few rare 100% scenes that didn't have stuttering, but it's pretty rare.

I also wonder why the fps, are not always around 60 fps. And it varies a lot during the running of the scene. It can go down to 30 FPS with some cards.

Is this "normal"?

I don't understand why I have a 99% Fps indication that has a lower rate than the FPS rate. Is this the case for all?

Je me questionne aussi sur le pourquoi les fps, ne sont pas toujours autour du 60 fps. Et cela varie beaucoup durant le fonctionnement de la scène. Cela peut descendre à 30 FPS avec certaines cartes.

Est-ce "normal" ?

Je ne comprend pas pourquoi j'ai une indication 99% Fps qui a un taux plus bas que le taux FPS. Est-ce ainsi pour tous ?

What do you mean, I don't understand?

How do you do that?

For my part I would really appreciate if the CPU was used more than the graphics card in the scenes. This would help to decrease I imagine the percentage of use at the GPU level? Especially since I have more memory on the CPU.

If you're talking about the graphics rendering in the iStripper program settings, it's fine on CPU for my part. But it doesn't really seem to work for me with the scenes. You can see more of a difference between GPU and CPU when running the shows on the screen.

Pour ma part j'apprécierais beaucoup que le CPU soit plus utilisé que la carte graphique dans les scènes. Cela aiderait à diminuer j'imagine le pourcentage d'utilisation au niveau du GPU ? Surtout que j'ai plus de mémoire au niveau du CPU.

Si vous parlez du rendu graphique dans les réglages du programme iStripper, il est bien sur CPU pour ma part. Mais cela ne semble pas vraiment fonctionner pour moi avec les scènes. On voit plus une différence entre GPU et CPU lors du fonctionnement des shows sur l'écran.

For me GPU mode just makes the clips blurry on my desktop similar to zoomed in or even out. Like you say though not much difference in the scenes. Whenever there is some zoom clips will blur on desktop and in scenes. No real change in resource usage.

Update & Apology. I had accidentally repeated the scene FG639 as FG641
in the original posted FractalGarden623-643.zip
FG641 has now been replaced in the zip by the correctly intended scene. Thanks a lot.

@Socialhazard interesting..FG646, 650 & FG654 have been set with longer 3D camera distances
to keep the screen rendered size smaller . Doing that works well enough on my meagre 2GB rig
to avoid the worst 3K model frame rate drop downs.
You can see the different camera pos z axis settings I settled on, in the .scn codes for each of these...
camera {
type: 3D
angle: 45
pos: 0, 0, 1352 //1320 //1272
increasing the camera pos z axis further will give you a larger black scene border however that
should ameliorate the model stutter in such scenes on your rig until it is no longer a problem

How much on board RAM did you say your GPU card has ?

Don't worry, if I don't comment anymore on the difficulties I sometimes have with jerks, because I really think it's my graphics card that is at fault, with its low memory.

I would be due for a change of computer to get the most out of it. Not funny when you think mine was bought in December 2018.

But the Dell, are really limited, as to the changes of parts.

However if I see any other issues, I will let you know. 😊

N'ayez crainte, si je ne commente plus les difficultés que j'ai parfois avec des saccades, car je pense vraiment que c'est ma carte graphique qui est en cause, avec sa faible mémoire.

Je serais dû pour un changement d'ordinateur pour en profiter au maximum. Pas drôle quant on pense que le mien a été acheté en décembre 2018.

Mais les Dell, sont vraiment limités, quant aux changements de pièces.

Par contre si je vois d'autres problèmes, je vais vous en faire part. 😊

bought only one year ago. 😪
I have often thought that Totem should offer a deluxe version of its player perhaps
for an annual subscription. Such a player, could allow subscibers to download their
4K cards at additional lower resolutions, hence giving selection of the resolution
of what is to be played back to the member.
I know anyone can download 1K or 3K resolution versions of their cards at any time
however one can only replace & keep one version of this at a time. No one wants to do that.

Je sais que n'importe qui peut télécharger des versions de résolution 1K ou 3K de ses cards à tout moment cependant, on ne peut remplacer et conserver qu'une seule version à la fois. Personne ne veut faire cela.

I agree that it would be nice if the app directly supported being able to download multiple resolutions of each card and effortlessly select which one to play. However, even with the current version it is not necessary to re-download each time you want to use a different resolution for a card. You can keep the different resolutions in different folders and just change the storage folders to point to different sets of folders when you want to change resolution. This is somewhat inconvenient - but a lot better than downloading each time you want to change resolution.
