Don't judge buying a girl by the rating she has. I've done that for a long time till I decided that there was one that I liked and wanted to see what was up with her show. She was about a 8.6 or something. I bought the show and have been happy with it everyday. Ratings are others opinions, make your own.

I never rate cards. I also do not give any meaning to the rating system.

The ratings mean nothing to me as they are depicting other users likes and dislikes which could (and usually are)different than mine. I much prefer to remain objective and buy cards based on the demo's and the card bonus vids and pix ( the ones you can see prior to purchasing show). Most times I am not disappointed!

I use my own rating system, like many others here, Totem's rating system doesn't mean a thing.

Well, is true that ratings at times won't reflect the whole story about some low rated cards or those in the middle, but usually the best rated cards are in fact some of the best cards for more than one reason. I, as surely many people here, based plenty of my early purchases on the ratings. Those at the top almost never disappointed me, the others were in fact mediocre for more than one particular reason: bad video, short show, bad outfit, not so good looking model, not explicit... you name it.

Rather than not rating, me thinks is better to rate, so the overall rates can approach to a more truthful and representative opinion, cause a rate is, after all, also a personal opinion, but plenty opinions put together make a consensus. So actually, as in any other thing, the consensus is the truth, even if you don't like something about it. Not saying is good or bad, but that's the way it is. All that they teach you in the school or home as something good or bad, is considered good or bad cause the consensus says so. ;)

I also believe rating does not mean a thing. Problem with rating is most people rate only when they have something strong to say. Either they love with a 8, 9 or 10 or they ***** with a 0. Commentaries are a bit less contrasted, but you can still see who was pleased and who was disappointed.
I believe one could have a pretty precise idea about the quality of a show mixing the rating, the comments, the free demo and the free pictures.

Oquijan and Rex pretty much covered the way I feel about ratings. I always read lots of reviews before I buy a show, average them out. I also PM friends and bug them for opinions.
1 piece of hard information I would find useful:

Rating should also show HOW MANY PEOPLE POSTED A SCORE for each girl.

Rate her ____ 9.16 #Ratings 1254

I live by my Mum's old rule:

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!

But I do read the comments, and appreciate/respect certain member's comments very much.....ie: spacephantom, spiderman, and plasonic to name a few....

Lucie T is one of my favorites but most of her shows are rated far below 8. In her case I wonder if the outfit choices didn't lower her numbers?

I let the ratings put me off a few of Ashley Robbins shows earlier on in my membership and it was a big mistake, she's fantastic!

And her ratings have recovered since.

I've always thought there should be a way to sort cards by "number of purchases" or "number of purchases / time card was released" which I think would reveal a more accurate reflection of cards' popularity. Of course, people who get the cards through subscriptions would have to be ignored...
