At least you've realised the ratings system is a joke now rather than after spending a big wad of cash. If you do a search you'll see that the subject has been raised many times. I share your frustration: so many choices and they all cost money, but how could it be otherwise? One man's goddess is another man's minger. Are you suggesting there's a 'right' way to rate the girls? It's all subjective.

You've got the forum here to ask questions and you can always use the search function to check out particular girls. Obviously, the older the card, the more commentary there'll be either on the card or in the forum. Plus you have an idea of what you like, so you can use the filter settings on the front page to narrow the pool of possibles. After that, dive in! And there's always the daily specials to try some of those you feel marginal about.

The recent change to stop non-owners from rating cards had the predictable effect of raising the overall scores: after all, who's going to buy a card thinking they won't enjoy it? It also makes Totem look good: new users come to the site and see from the ratings that all the girls are amazing. Of course, the reality's a bit different, but it's only trial and error and experience that will make that clear. The ratings will never match your idea of what the best shows are since it's certain that your idea of a great show isn't the same as everyone else. But you'll have fun looking for that perfect show!
