I had two questions about how the monthly membership works;

First, if you have already purchased some cards, is there any chance that the random card you get delivered to you on given day is one that you already have? Effectively meaning you "miss out" on a card that day.

Second, once your membership is up do you keep the cards in your collection.

(I am trying to weigh the advantages/disadvantages of buying individually and going for the membership.)

The random membership card is always a card you don't already own. I've had the monthly membership at various times and never missed out on a card.

When you get a card through membership it's yours to keep permanently, just like when you buy cards with tickets.

Membership is the cheapest deal. It's definitely the best way to acquire cards, although it is random, so you won't always get cards you want.

So essentially the price is higher on the individual tickets because your paying for the convience to choose, however if your looking to save money, you can get the membership, but run the risk of getting cards you may not like.

Yes, the membership is a great deal, but without choice. Paying full price with tickets allows you to buy cards you want whenever you want.

The membership cards always show up in your collection grayed out. I don't believe auto download works anymore for the membership cards. It used to, but with the last release of the software I had to download the cards manually.

To expand slightly:
Membership is the cheapest deal per card. The way it works is that you buy either:
6 months = 180 cards = 59.70 = 33.17 per card
3 months = 90 cards = 38.85 = 43.17 per card
1 month = 30 cards = 14.95 = 49.83 per card

Let's say it's Monday, you have already downloaded your new show of the day. About 23:00 say, your computer will automatically download the card ready for your new Thursday morning show. It will show in the folder vghd/data under the card number but importantly it will NOT show in the folder vghd/models. On Tuesday night your Friday card will download, on Wednesday night your Saturday card etc.

Now what you should avoid doing is buying a show for which you already have the card in your data file, if you do your membership show for that day will not be delivered as you will already have it. If this happens all is not lost, just contact Customer Services who will give you a ticket credit.

As you are in the USA your price will be in US Dollars
If you were in the EC Euro zone your price will be in Euros
If however your local currency is neither USD or Euros always check both as one will be cheaper than the other depending on exchange rates.

I've just purchased 50 tickets. Used 1 to buy a full video. To view this do I need to pay for the membership

Nope, once you have purchased a card you "own" it and can play the full show. No need to "subscribe" to watch the cards you have bought.

I have a membership. Yesterday I could download my daily girl, but today's card doesn't show up in my collection. It only shows as a demo.

I've tried to log off already, but won't help
