I'd like to know if the second copy of vghd has to be done when vghd is online, i mean if vghd2 is out can we do a copy of vghd on another pc if we haven't yet? if not is there a way to do it by yourself (like copy/paste) ?

you must have acces to internet for the 2 accounts. is normal is the protection !!!

but when you have open your second account you can copy of the first computer, that go more quick of download all.

i have 2 computer with the complete collection, when a buy a show, i can if i want made a copy by my interne reseau, but for one show i download also with the second computer, because my speed connection is not bad 780 kbs. if you have 100 kbs then you download on the first and copy on the second, computer, try to not active the 2 program the same time when you download one show.

Just to clarrify, your licence is for two copies of VGHD which you can run on two separate machines.

How you store the models & then access them is a separate issue. If you have a fast connection and sufficient bandwidth, both machines can download separately as Alerte is doing.

However there are ways to point to a single store for the data & models folders, but this is specific customisation to each users site & is not supported by Totem. So if that was your preference you would need to look at the Problems, Bugs & Fixes for ideas & guidence.

Members there will be quite happy to give you advice on a variety of options. I use some myself.

I will eventually be getting a new computer with more drive space etc. I will want to install my VGHD fresh on that computer then having two computers with VGHD. After doing this I will then delete the VGHD on my first, now dying, computer. Can I do this simply and be left with just the one VGHD set up working on my new computer? Will I automatically be credited with having only one installation by Totem once I delete all VGHD from that first computer when I do this?

I should be able to clean install on new comp. then delete old comp & be as now-one set up?

Not that I know for sure but I have always believed that if you use the uninstall option from the Start Menu, whilst connected to the Internet, the program somehow credits you back an install count, so that you can freely install on another PC.

If you just delete the folder or not do anything to your other dying PC then you will probably exceed you install count limit.

Whenever I have had to install again, I have always used this method and I have never run out of installation counts before, so I guess this works.

hello, for install on one new computer, if you have 2 accounts, you must then of course uninstall one when you are connected on internet for free one install. that is the more quick if not you must ask to Totem to free your account.

is the same thing if you change your systeme, you must uninstall if you install a new clean systeme, of course the best is made on total copy of the show, but is only one save copy.

you can made all save copy you want !!!! but save 160 giga several time, i not really see the utilility. one time is ok on one hardrive externe or like me 2 computer active, the day when i have a problem i can always see VGHD !!!!

then here you must see the difference of copy, if is only one security copy without use one account you can of course made your copy without internet. but you can't see the show only with one account who are open by VGHD site.

ex: when you copy on DVD, that is a security copy.

if you copy on one laptop then you use used one of your 2 install.

Another question: let's say vghd site is offline because of vghd2 (3d girls that come out from your desktop??lol) at that moment is there a way to install vghd in a new pc? and dl the shows?? and if i already have 1 onother pc with vghd can I use it's data to copy the programm from pc to pc(girls included)???

and you can use VGHD on 2 computers, if one day you get 3 computer, then you ask to Totem for give you the possibility to use the 3 computer.

ex 2 computers fixe, and one laptop.

Follow the instructions given if you only want to maint one installation. If you wanted to maintain two concurrent installations with both downloading the data & models folders, then you need additional guidence.

One thing that I am not sure is clear enough from the above posts, do not forget to copy your data & models folders to a VGHD folder on the new machine in a location that you want before you install and then make sure you point to that folder drive when you install.
