My custom skin color in the header text actually doesn't work in .516 so I switched back .514 for now. I only just modified it yesterday so I will be sad if it doesn't work moving forward.

That was the issue in .514 Theu used the wrong pallete value.
the correct pallet value is now being used in .516

so if you changed it to work in .514, it will not work in .516.

On the HOME page of the app there is a NEWS section (which seems to be implemented as a set of links to posts in the forum). New version announcements should appear there, or do Totem think that a new version is not news !

Totem gave us a promise not to share our personal information with third parties - but now in order to enjoy the full functionality that we previously had we are required to give that data away ourselves. I am not happy about that and never will be though, reluctantly, I have to accept it. However, I can not fully accept that important information such as the release of a new version is hidden from us.

In passing, I find it unfortunate that the news section is now very much less prominent on the home page than it previously was. I now have to scroll down to see that the news section even exists, let alone be able to read it.


Apparently .516 has some changes to setting up a new account that they wanted to test

Which would make it a beta, but it's the default download from the web page and is the version available via the "check for updates" link on app's the settings page. So, is it a beta or not? I am still ***** on this matter.

Just how do you think they will know how easy new users find it to set up a new account if those new users do not know that they are taking part in a test and have no reason to provide any feedback ?
I totally agree with @TheEmu on such subjects.
If Discord account is not mandatory (and it isn't), important infos should be given to customers here too.

On the settings page of the app there is a button labeled Check For Updates.

However, when I clicked it to see if I had the latest version it automatically began to perform the update. This was something I did not want to happen at that point as all I doing was making check. I was was not requesting an update.

Using a Check For Updates option should do what it says, not something different unless it first asks for permission to do so.

Version 1.2.516 (yet there in version 1.2.514) :
The first time I launch the software, the forum is not displayed. I have to quit and relaunch the software to see the forum.
It's a systematic issue.

It has happened to me several times in a row. Quitting and restarting usually fixes it, but not always. See my previous post on this earlier in this thread.

Weird. I loaded the beta 516 and the forum screen was completely blank. I have had that happen quite often with beta 1,2 5.16, especially when I have gone to the Forum very quickly after the home scre...

@Wyldanimal thank you for the video showing off the new software. Looks good, holding off on downloading for now.

I did notice when you were shoing off a feature in the Store view that it had a "Standing" option for cards, but when you went into My Collection, that view type was not available. (only Card or Thumbs iirc)

Wondering if there was a reason why it is not included, as I'd love for the Standing view for My Collection.

To fix this issue I have found that going to your profile then selecting Posts and clicking on one of your old posts opens up the forum and it tends to work normally after that.

Thanks for that tip. I can see how going directly to a post could clear the "hanging front page" problem. Maybe going via the Home page's News section would also work, if so it would be a bit easier and quicker than going via the profile and old posts route.

Something a 'lil strange. In my Account History for the shows recently purchased with a gift card it only displays the letter and number for the card instead of the name and if you click the link it goes to the website instead of the show in my collection. 😕

I do like that it now reads "Giftcard" there whenever one is spent on a show. 👍 😎

"Premium" Question (in case I missed something during the last 5 months dealing with a cancer diagnosis):

I upgraded to .516 and it now says "Premium: Inactive" in my drop-down (arrow) list. And I can only download 3K cards...no 4K ones anymore. I HAD a "premium account" (?) and could download 4K in the past (I think it was a yearly subscription?), but now it appears there is a "new" MONTHLY subscription ($5.99) in order to download 4K model cards?

When did my "yearly premium" subscription expire (there is no list of that "transaction" in my Account Activity list for the past 5 years). And how can I go get the 4K version of numerous 3K cards that I have UNKNOWINGLY been downloading at ONLY 3K resolution for the past few months? Until I updated to the current .516, NOTHING ever indicated I was downloading at only 3K, even though my Download Settings was set to 4K.

What the hell happened while I was undergoing Chemo for the past 4 months?

The premium subscription has moved from an annual billing to a monthly one (for reasons I don't quite understand) but people with existing annual premium accounts kept them as long as the rebilling went absolutely smoothly with the existing credentials. If that was not the case- if your credit card changed, for instance- that annual status is lost and now apparently the only choice is to start the monthly plan. Once you do so you can re-download the cards in 4K.

WARNING: I am a completely unofficial source but I believe the information is accurate.

I think this to be a bug, which should be reported.

I have been a Premium member in the past, but am not anymore.
And on "normal" versions I remember I could re-download on 4K the shows which I did buy during my Premium membership time.
I may be wrong, but I think the software to be wanted and expected to work this way, by Totem itself.

There could also be the case your Premium membership to have been terminated for some reason much time ago, without you even noticing it, so you never got rights to download these shows on 4K.

Anyway, everything looks quite strange, since here on forum your profile is still labeled as a Premium one...
My advice is trying to downgrade to 1.2.378 (which, at the end, still is the last real stable version of this software) and see what happens then with such shows.

Evidently I got my Premium "Crown" back after I posted the above question(s) and then signed up for the new monthly $5.99 subscription. The GUI then let me go redownload ("replace") all the 3K cards it had downloaded (in 3K) in their 4K format then (I still had many cards in the 4K format which I had downloaded before iStripper evidently "terminated" my Premium membership with no warning whatsoever). It was a goat rope because I had to use the filters for My Collection to figure out which model cards had been downloaded in 3K instead of 4K going back to late 2022, THEN had to go to each individual Model's SHOW page that had been downloaded in 3K to change the selection THERE to 4K in order for it to ASK me if I wanted to replace the 3K card with the 4K card.

Hell, the GUI NEVER "said" my previous Premium membership had expired or wasn't renewable or anything...it evidently just STOPPED it (for whatever reason) and automatically started downloading everything in 3K back in late 2022 EVEN THOUGH in Settings I had 4K Downloads selected (you can STILL do that on the curreent Settings page). You would think that if the SETTINGS were set to download 4K but you COULDN'T do that, it would TELL you it wasn't going to download 4K instead of just downloading 3K. I had around 40 - 50 cards that I thought were downloaded at 4K but just "defaulted" (?) to 3K downloads with no indication whatsoever.

And my Transactions History shows no record of my "upgrade" to Premium Member in the past OR any indication my Premium Member status had "expired". That's absurd. Why? Imagine somebody has already downloaded numerous 3K versions of the cards, THEN upgrades to Premium. Unless they "figure out" themselves how to configure the Filters for their My Collection, the GUI has NO indication they could update those cards from 3K to 4K unless they went to each 3K model card in their entire collection (at least back through 2022...maybe earlier?) to "see" if the card WAS availble in 4K to begin with (many earlier 3K cards AREN'T available in 4K).

And the "User Manual" you can link to says nothing about "Premium Membership" at the time I am typing this.

The new GUI is not very "user friendly" in many areas yet, and will continue to be ***** as hell for totally new iStripper users with no previous GUI knowledge or experience.

@FalconAF :

Go to your collection tab, open the filters, select all resolutions below 4k in the filter "chosen resolutions" then press ctrl+A : at the bottom will appear several commands, including "resolution" : select "4k" then it will tell you how many cards had been downloaded into another resolution than 4k and propose you to download the 4k version :)

To variation on @Celine 's advice

    Go to yur collection tab and open the filters, and clear them all
    Under the resolution filter enable all except 4k
    Under the Quality filter enable only Crystal Clear+

This should display the cards in your collection for which a 4k version is available but which you have downloaded a lower resolution version. You can then download them all at once or in batches.

I agree with others who have stated this is silly. This is a porn app. Depending on where you live in the world, there is a large stigma associated with it. Privacy is paramount.

I will never use my Discord account to access information about this app. Nor will I create a secondary Discord account to do so, because that's just a PITA.

If Totem actually wants to communicate something important to its customers, it should be using the "built-in" communication methods, like news posts.

Where was that talk?

Was it public or was it an internal Totem discussion?

The only thing like that that I can remember was some pure speculation by uninformed forum members about the possibility of it happening. Was that what you were referring to ?

Or, worse of all, was it only on Discord - which would surely be a biased sample as it would exclude those of us (like myself) who would really object to such a move.

I too am opposed to this forum being closed. I find it far superior to discord.

It would be a big mistake for Totem to close it to discussion by members.


Moi également je m'oppose à la fermetutre de ce forum. Je le trouve de loin supérieur à discord.

I also prefer this forum to Discord, although I have participated in Disocrd as well.

About posting images: that is imho the biggest drawback of this forum nowadays. I would like the policies to be changed so that at least non-nudity photos could be posted as before. It would help a lot when trying to describe a problem with software / skins / scenes etc... Maybe open up the image posting capability again, and if you ***** it (= post nude images or something else that you are not supposed to post), then your image posting rights could be revoked. IF such user level rights management is possible, I hope it would be handled that way and not prohibit image posting for everyone and for every type of images.

Honestly I really don't like discord either. I find it hard to follow but I get the limitation on posting images. I thinkit works out well having both the forum and discord.
