Some of the info on pricing shown in the app's Help section seems to be outdated, so I want to ask.

Do you still get 100 free credits when you buy the 500 credit package, and 50 free credits when you buy the 250 credit package??

Currently if Use DOLZ crypto Tokens to buy credits
you get an Extra 25%

62.5 extra if you buy 250 ($29.99 )
125 extra if you buy 500 ($49.99)
275 extra if you buy 1100 ($99.99)
750 extra if you buy 3000 ( $249.99)

Outline of steps:
1) You have to create a Crypto Wallet,
2) Add the Polygon mainnet to your Wallet
3) Add the MATIC token to you Wallet ( should be added automatically when you add the polygon mainnet )
4) Add the DOLZ token to your Wallet
5) Buy MATICand send it to your Wallet on the Polygon Mainnet
6) Buy DOLZ using the MATIC in your Wallet
7) Then Buy Tokens using the DOLZ from your Wallet.

So far, all of the Members who have purchased Credits using DOLZ Tokens
have reported that the Extra 25% in Credits was worth the time and effort
in creating a Wallet and doing all the steps.
Steps 1 to 4 are a one time thing...
Steps 5, 6, 7 you repeat each time you want to buy more credits.

I'm pretty sure not everyone has said it was worth both the time and effort but I'm too lazy to go searching.

I'm out of credits for the 1st time in and will probably buy some if and when they do the 1100 for $99 deal; if crypto is the only way to buy credits at a discount then I guess I bought my last credits well over a year ago

I am pretty sure you cannot use all in such type of sentence if you want all to believe you. :-D

Seriously though: I do not belong to the group of people who bought any credits using crypto, so I cannot speak for them, but for me it is not worth the time, effort, nor money to use it - you will also spend part of your money by fees, which some users also mentioned.

So I am also waiting for a "normal" way how to buy credits with a discount.

...you will also spend part of your money by fees...

As you do when, for example, you use a credit card to buy iStripper credits - and those fees are quite a large part of the price being well over 10% for Epoch according to their own web site (a few years ago they were even higher). With the crypto route at least some of the fees are more visible than they are with other methods.

I would not be at all surprised if one of the reasons Totem are encouraging the use of crypto payments is that the fees are lower than by the more traditional methods. It may even be why the fees for the traditional routes seem to have come down.

I do not use crypto currencies, but that is not because of the transaction fees.

Well, from my own experience I can safely say this is not true, when I am buying credits from Epoch for 50 euro, I am not paying 55 euro or more to them. If someone is paying such fees to them it is not me.

Then you are wrong,

If someone is paying such fees to them it is not me.

Totem pay them, or rather Totem do not get the whole of what you pay, and pass on the cost to you by charging more than they otherwise would have to. Just because you don't see them as a separate item does not mean that you are not, indirectly, paying them.

see https://epoch.com/business_services?ref=ml

and scroll down to near the bottom of the page.

Epoch will not be getting all of that fee, the credit card companies themselves will take part of it (as they do whenever you use a credit card).

I do not care how much is Totem paying to them, important for me is how much I am paying. I see that very clearly with Epoch. And I see that it is very unclear using crypto - that is one of the reasons I am refusing to use crypto currency - it is not transparent at all.

@Romla

I agree with your last post, It is the amount that you pay that is the most important thing.

However, that does not negate the fact that you are paying the fees when you use a credit card and that you do not know how large those fees might be (and how much less you might be able to pay if you could do so by a more direct method - e.g. a cash discount).

The money for those fees comes out of your bank account and goes to Epoch and the credit card company with the remainder going to Totem. That you don't see how large the fees are is one of the reasons why they can be as large as they are (and why the companies involved do not want you to automatically see them).

Yes, that is true, fees are everywhere, but for me the amount I am paying and also if I do not need to make 4 other transfers to another currency is the most important thing. So I can clearly see how much I really paid.

@Romia - again I agree with you, I was only arguing against your response

Well, from my own experience I can safely say this is not true

when I pointed out that there are fees even if you buy your credits using a card.

I meant I am not paying 10 percent more than the listed price using Epoch. If Totem needs to pay such fees then that is something different.

No, in both cases it is you who are paying the fees - the money goes from your bank account to Epoch's.

Like you I prefer seeing the final price, though it would be even better if there was a breakdown of how that final price was divided up.

It is much like the situation with the prices displayed in shops in Europe, which include VAT, versus those in the US where the sales tax is not included (or was not when I was living there some years ago) so when you get to the till you pay more than the ticket price. In both cases the tax "fee" is paid by the customer and in both cases you should know how much that was (at least you will if you look at your receipt). However, with the credit card fees you will normally not have any idea how large those fees were (and naive users will often not even be aware that they were paying any fees).

Member @ezromeo
asked about the Bonus Credits.

I gave an answer.

If you Want the 25% bonus credits, then you take part in the Offer.
If you DON'T want then 25% bonus credits then you don't take part in the Offer.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

" crypto currency - it is not transparent at all."

Actually, Crypto payments is probably the most transparent of All..

This is what you Pay from your Wallet.
The Amount of DOLZ that is equivalent to the $USD value of the Package.
and yes there is a small additional gas fee of $0.02 to $0.10 or 2 to 10 cents

Currently if Use DOLZ crypto Tokens to buy credits
you get an Extra 25%

62.5 extra if you buy 250 ($29.99 ) - $6.25 worth of extra credits
125 extra if you buy 500 ($49.99) - $12.50 worth of extra credits
275 extra if you buy 1100 ($99.99) - $27.50 worth of extra credits
750 extra if you buy 3000 ( $249.99) - $75.00 worth of extra credits

At this Minute in time
this is how many DOLZ tokens it costs.
https://www.istripper.com/customdata/forum/2023-04-09/kTDD1DyM.png

In the Upper Right is the current exchange rate for 1 DOLZ token to USD
it is $0.01577 or 1.577 cents

so to buy the $249.99 value Package you need
$249.99 / $0.01577 = 15,853 DOLZ Tokens

@TheEmu said this:
...versus those in the US where the sales tax is not included...

This is still true. Sales tax is always added at the register, but not shown on the products.
New York has 8% sales tax.

As far as I know Epoch's. fees are included in the price so Totem is paying them not me but in the end it wouldn't matter if I were being charged the fees; I don't want the risk, hassle, and complexity of a crypto wallet.

As far as taxes -

Sales taxes in the US is based on municipality and state for both what is taxed and the rate it's taxed. In New York City the effective sales tax is closer to 9%. And whether tax is included in the published price is up to the seller; some few sellers include it out of convenience but most wont because it makes their pricing look more expensive.

Income tax isa different thing. In the US crypto in considered a commodity so the user is expected to report profits and losses on their income taxes. If you bought a bitcoin at $60,000 and sold it (or spent it) at $28,000 you have a loss which would offset a capital gain. And the reverse would be a taxable $32,000 gain that could and should be reported to the IRS.

DOLZ is kinda crazy - if I was going to participate (which I'm not) then I guess if you bought it at $0.008 and then used is to buy credits while it was valued at $0.016 then you would have a capital gain of $0.008 per DOLZ.

But you are converting cash into MATIC into DOLZ and DOLZ doesn't seem to have any real value ... so who know maybe as long as you spend the MATIC before it's value changes there is no profit or loss?. Fells like the very definition on money laundering to me but probably nothing to worry about unless you are buying a LOT of credits .. If thats the case I would talk to your accountant and tax attorney.

You are still paying the fees. Just as in Europe you are paying VAT when you purchase almost anything, including iStripper credits (in the US you apparently don't pay sales tax when buying the exact same credits).

Note - the post that I was initially replying to about this said that no such fees were payed. He has subsequently said that is not what he meant. I agree with what he meant, not with what he said.

If you think it makes a difference as to whether the fee goes directly to Epoch or goes to Totem and then to Epoch then logically you should think that you never pay anything to Totem, only to Epoch.

Oh! You are saying the fees included in the price!? Then yes you are correct - hopefully all the other cost are included as well - everything above that is the margin (profit).

Fees go to Epoch (regardless of who pays them) and the rest of the transaction goes to Totem. I assume the OP meant no 'additional' fees were paid; as in the price listed was the final amount he paid. My guess he doesn't care about those fees any more than he does the rent Totem pays for the studio .. it's all in the price.

I guess this explians the conversation about sales tax. I assume what the OP was saying is that he prefers having all the cost (taxes, fees, etc) in the price. And it's true in the US that is not usually the case as sales tax is rarely included. I remember traveling through Oregon many years ago and being shocked when the stick was actually the final price!

But again ... I'm sure I missing the point?
