I think the trades have to be done with trackable crypto curency for the nft thing to work.
That may be how Totem have set it up - but it is not how others have used NFTs to establish ownership of a digital item (e.g. the first tweet). Both the NFT protected item and the crypto currency can be based on a block chain, but they do not have to be the same block chain nor is it neccessary that a cryto currency be invovled at all for the purchase of an NFT based item. Totem appear to have decided to do so and to have linked the two, this is reasonable but I do not know why they have made that decision.

Ahh, right i see.

I don't get the point of the babyDolz other than "watch to earn", seems to be adding yet another "coin" in to the purchase chain.

buy eth with real money,
buy dolz with eth,
stake dolz to earn babydolz,
buy nft's with babydolz or with dolz?

While dolz and eth appear to be intercangeable (unless you cant turn dolz into eth) it looks like you can't turn babydolz into dolz so you can never cash out. So you would hope that you can sell the nft for dolz rather than babydolz.

The more i think about this scheme the less i trust it. I'm at the point of where i wouldn't touch them with someone elses shitty stick. Hopefully some of assumptions are wrong.

My question is will Totem be paid in real money with the purchase of crypto-currency from customers in exchange for the Dolz or will Totem be paid in crypto-currency?

Ma question est Totem va t-il être payé en argent réel avec l'achat de crypto-monnaie des clients en échange des Dolz ou Totem sera t-il payé en crypto-monnaie ?

I still don't understand the product but I think/guess they went with Dolz crypto in order to create a network with other porn producers and bypass the 3rd party processors. And plant themselves in the middle or future trading. Again I'm just guessing.

I have doubts it will ever really launch but again I don't know. I don't see how this works out long term but I suspect it wont go away until until there is no 3rd party intrest and no trading and that might take a while.

@Alkasyn - fundamentally, no.

There will still be seven shows a week output from the studio for you to add to your collection using credits, free gift cards or Jokers (for any SEC cards you really, really want).

Some extra shows shot at the studio for the Dolz/NFT will only be available if you go crypto and buy into Dolz.

Anybody able to calculate the exchange rate of stable currency to ethereum to dolz to nft to figure out how much a card will cost in the presale? Just curious.

Nobody knows. ETH are going up and down, so no fix price for converting into stablecoin. Only stablecoin to Dolz Tokens is a fix price, 1 Stablecoin is 1$ and 1 Dolz is 0,008$, for presale one and 0,012$ for presale two. So 1 Stablecoin is 125Dolz for presale one and 83,3Dolz for presale 2.
How much a NFT card will be is not said at this point, only that one card will be about the selling price as a normal iStripper card, so like 1 - 2$.
Exact numbers are not relesed yet, beside the presale Dolz prices.

This will also depend on the gas feed. In the youtube explanation: if you want to buy $1000 dolz you need $1000 + $30 for gas feed
If I want to buy $100 dolz do I also need $30 gas feed or just $3?
In other words, is this a fixed amount or a percentage?

Check the video at around 3:20. It's about $2 per transaction. Saving between $20 and $30 worth of ETH for gas fees is just an advise. I agree with you that these gas fees are quite vague. You never know how much and they are never mentioned in any price quotes.

The cost of gas fees will depend on the numbers of transactions at any given time and is measured in gwei, to know the current value you can google "eth gas tracker".

Dolz is just another erc-20 token so it will be tradeable with any other erc-20 tokens once it reaches exchanges or you can buy nft from either stripper, vrparadise or 3rd parties(partners).
I just took a quick look at the whitepaper and yeah apparently babydolz will be non-tradeable, but afaik they will only be obtainable as a reward for staking dolz or play & watch to earn which it's good but will see. This also means that the nfts will only be able to be sold for dolz

I thought this might be fun but holy ***** what a nightmare! Would have been much better if we could just buy DOLZ tokens straight up without all the crypto BS. Really feels more and more like totem wants to drive me away.

I am feeling the same way. I would always be willing to spend a couple 100 bucks every month to collect some new cards, and unlike a lot of people, I actually found the gambling games as an entertaining way to add to my collection. But this is just getting silly now... not only is it ridiculously ***** for anyone who isn't a crypto bro, but seems like it's about 2 years too late to the whole NFT party. Anyone getting involved with any form of cryptocurrency right now should probably give their head a shake! There is only so much I'm willing to put myself through to watch some dancing naked ladies...

It's not the steps to take that I found difficult, it's the amounts involved and the gas fees that make it vague. Everytime you have to exchange you have to keep a margin apart just to be sure and the amounts are all in like 0,000000293847982347982364982. I agree it would be a lot more user friendly to just buy dolz directly with usd or eur, but I think the whole point is to circumvent the traditional banking institutions since Mastercard and Visa are more and more obstructing the adult industry.
BTW great support so far on Dolz, they answer very quickly to questions.

Could be. And yet without the adult industry these banks would be a whole lot poorer. 😆

In today`s Daily Mail
No idea of the actual figures but
The Nationwide BS has become the latest bank/building society to step up precautions around crypto currencies.
The building society said customers would now have a daily limit imposed on their account, dictating how much of their money they could hand over to crypto currency providers.
A spokesman for the group said the measures were to "protect our members from crypto currency scams". (Totem and moderators please note his words not mine)

Nationwide`s move follows similar measures bought in by Santander, TSB, ***** Money and Starling Bank.

Starling told customers on Tuesday that it was preventing all card payments to crypto exchanges and was restricting any outgoing and incoming bank transfers involving such businesses.

So, it might reach the point shortly where we cannot even buy credits for istripper.

I fully expect them to double down on this like they did with the special event cards and premium.

Yeah, crypto at worst is described as a ponzi-scheme and at best is a stock that uses a ton of fossil fuels and contributes to climate change while providing no functional value. That being said, if the company invested early, meaning before 2021 they would still stand to make money as long as people ever bought ethereum, and the cards are still few a

In America some very influential/wealthy people lost a lot a ton on the ftx scam...banks in America at least were considering a move to crypto and ftx was everywhere because people fell for the quick money/protects money lie...regulation will at expose what crypto actually is... much like the credit swaps from 2008 people have to get screwed so we look deeper in our economic creations.

Yeh, marketing 101. Do not make your customers jump through unnecessary hoops to buy your product.
